The Pyrenees National Park (France) is located north of the Ordesa National Park (Spain), although there is no road communication between the two. It is a spectacular high mountain landscape, in which wild nature, the historical livestock use of its pastures and mountain tourism are combined. There are innumerable hiking trails that take you to ancient glacial circuses such as Gavernie and its famous waterfall 422 meters high. Within a short distance you can visit the Troumuse circus, there is even road access to the same esplanade of the circus (2092 meters above sea level), used by many cyclists in good weather; There is also a little train pulled by a tractor that goes up to the above mentioned esplanade, although it is highly recommended to access on foot ... You already have enough information to approach and enjoy a unique environment. Remember not to leave anything else in your path than the footprints and enjoy.

PS: The photos that illustrate this review are mostly from Gavernie.

Nordic ski resort of the Somport pass. A fairly complete ski and hiking area for all types of hikers. To deplore a cafeteria-style restaurant which leaves something to be desired on the plans: presentation, service and quality of the dishes.
