Wonderful place to change air and go for a long hike

The Pyrenees to my mind are better than the alps - less touristy, better prices and the locals are super nice.

Beautiful places and accessible mountains in the western part of the French Pyrenees.

Very beautiful landscape and a great nature, but totally overrun touristy and dogs are except from a few main roads, FORBIDDEN. That means walking with dogs is impossible because all the dogs are said to carry parasites (demand at Gavarnie Town Hall).
If caught, you may face fines or an ad.

Fresh air, nature, friendly people and gourmet meals: ideal for recharging your batteries.

Park worth seeing. The kids loved being surrounded by marmots. They were able to pet them and feed them.
To do so, I advise you to arrive for the opening because the healer offers it in the morning and at 5 p.m.

Cross-country ski station, from Le pont d'Espagne, I love it, you can go with the chairlifts both in summer and winter to Lake Gaube .... a paradise ... and from there to do a GR of 1h30 ..... many waterfalls ....

A beautiful place with many possibilities for different difficulties. It is the Pyrenees. Naturally.

Projections of films on the local flora and fauna animated by a guard monitor and followed by debates. Permanent exhibitions on pyreneism and numerous temporary exhibitions. Very welcome and availability for all information.

Magnificent!

Once at the top of one of the many mountains the view is magnificent.

Ski day on Saint Lary Station! Really a beautiful ski resort! With a wide range of varied and varied track spread over large domain grouping 3 areas which allows to always ski without crowd without wind and with a superb snow following the exhibition! The return to Pla d Adet is not very pleasant but is very nice! I highly recommend this resort which is one of the best in the area!

What better than to take a breath of fresh air in the middle of a beautiful landscape. These few photos are taken on the road lakes with lacquers and auber lake.

Love this part of France, but I am reluctant to share it with rest of the world!

Worthwhile visit for the natural environment. There are many leisure activities to do, both in summer and winter. It is worth planning the visit to avoid crowds. Good destination for family travel or sports

On the courraduque site, the summer hiking trails are not marked at all, the markings in place do not correspond to the sign at the entrance to the hiking site.
