Paradise Cove Luau Review

I'm baffled by the good reviews of this luau. We felt completely cheated out of our money. Everyone said you should go to a luau, so even though we thought it was going to be cheesy, we selected Paradise Cove because it was in walking distance from our hotel. We read reviews ahead of time and it looked like the buffet/drink lines got very crowded, so we splurged on the Royal Deluxe box because it was our 15 year anniversary - even a bigger waste of money than the other packages. One of the benefits was that you didn't not have to wait in the very long drink lines (and mind you it was not even at capacity). We sat at our table for over 40 minutes waiting for our drink order to even be taken. The overhead lights attracted flying ants, which were all over the table and our food (and the food wasn't very good). The entertainment was subpar and not very entertaining at all. The only thing that it has going for it, is that the views of the sunset are spectacular, but of course they start calling you to some of the events before the sunset is even over. Loved everything about Oahu, except for this luau.

Well kept and secured. Ambience is perfect for my granddaughter's Summer Ho'ike.

The was an awesome luau. They have so many included activities before the main event. I would highly recommend this luau for people with kids, as they will be entertained the whole time. I brought my almost 3 year old and he loved it!

Great show and atmosphere, vegetarian options included salad/macaroni salad and pasta salad... no tofu or protein option other than chicken and pork

There were a lot of activities to do and I was never bored or stopped. There was a station to braid bracelets, a place to throw spears, a tattoo artist, fishing show, roasted pig showing, and the main lua event. The sunset was very nice and had great views to get different pictures. The food was alright, but everything else was great

Great atmosphere, lots of little activities to occupy the time before dinner and show. Breath taking and beautiful sunset.

By far the best experience for a Luau on Oahu, there's no shortage of things to do heading up to the show and dinner. If you're on travel be sure to verify that the things from the gift shop will make it through customs when you leave.

Worth every penny! The performers were incredible. Really good and real professional. The staff was really friendly as well. The alcoholic drinks had a real kick, too. Lol. Food was good! Loved the pulled pork. Oh and let's not forget the hostess! I'm not sure if she's the one who hosts the show every night. But I'm sure they all do an amazing job! She was fun and had a lot of energy and really knew how to do her thing. Loved how sweet her voice was. Overall it was a really fun experience. Great place to bring your family, even with kids. They'll have fun dancing too!

Food not so great, just average, show was nice but I feel overall was overpriced.

Magnificent view landscape, delicious meal, fish, salad, meat, dessert, activities throughout the evening. The Laua music and the dancers thank you for the beautiful evening! I recommend it you will not regret it
