The basic package didn't seem worth the money and overall experience was cheesy. Everyone was nice and the kids enjoyed the activities. However there were way to many people so the lines to do anything or even eat were long. The whole thing went on a bit late so those with little ones ended up leaving early or let them sleep. Overall it felt more about making money than providing an authentic experience.

This is the luau by the Disney Resort, so you can expect some commercial aspects. The food was good, and the festivities were pretty good. Audience participation will be encouraged, so if your shy go somewhere else. They will pull up 20 people to dance on the stage. The shuttle for a couple extra sheckles is worth it, as this place is far by public transportation.

The food was delicious. The show was amazing! The fire portion of it was jaw dropping. The scenery is beyond beautiful. There's an abundance of culture displayed in many ways. Overall it was just an amazing adventure they take you on over the course of your time there. Highly recommended!

The show was corigiographed very nicely. The food was ok. The extra activities, canoe ride, spear throwing etc. were a fun bonus. The best part was the bus ride with our guide cousin Moe...aka cousin sexy. He made the trip a ton of fun!

By far the best luau I have ever been to! They offered historical and cultural demonstrations and they had hands on arts and crafts: we made palm leaf head bands and orchid bracelets!

They had Hula and fire dancers and a terrific pig roast!

Loved the performance! It was beautiful and entertaining! Food was good and the people refilling food and cleaning up were awesome!! I had my two little ones with me while I was getting food and one of the workers came out of his way to help me with get food and take it to my table! Thank you sir! Only thing I wanted to see more activities for kids a lot is tailored of course to the adult tourist. :) great place overall!!

Despite what some reviewers said about Paradise Co...

Despite what some reviewers said about Paradise Cove Luau, the place is not that bad. Is does host many guests, probably close to a thousand, but the facility is really huge and includes several buildings, performance theater, and even a private lagoon. It never feels crowded. They have several attractions, such as tattoo painting, lei making, taking pictures with colorful parrots, and so on. Be warned: some of these attractions cost extra, and cost a lot. I am not able say much about dancing as this was my first ever luau. The performance did not knock me off my feet, but it was entertaining enough, though shorter than I had expected. My major complaint is the quality and choice of food at the buffet. There really was no choice - fried chicken, fish, rice, and salad was pretty much all. The drinks also left much to be desired. Admission is not exactly cheap, and I suggest you go for the lowest package (a lei plus a drink voucher does not justify spending an extra $30). Paradise Cove is not Royal Albert Hall, but it is an OK place to spend an evening.

The grounds for the luau are beautiful, and the staff was great. There are several activities to do before settling in for your dinner and show. I wish it was more intimate, and by that, I mean out group was over 700 people. With that many people, it definitely loses any trace of authenticity it may have had left. It was a fun experience, but not one I will likely do twice. The food was great.

The luau at Paradise Cove was amazing! We got pictures walking in and more with the Birds of Paradise. There were so many activities and a couple little shops with gorgeous items to choose from. The food and drinks were nothing short of amazing!

Great show and decent food.

Great show and decent food.
My real and only problem came in the accomodations for the following:

handicapped
disabled
Senior citizens

We were carted in and put on bad plastic chairs under the bright sun in the heat of the day at the back of the show.

My great Aunt is 88 years old, is a military widow, and has lived in Hawaii for over 40 years. When I came to town, she determined to take me to this special event that had meant so much to her in her time on the island. Pushing her walker through the sand to get to the bathroom was impossible.
We were seated with no shade as well, and that sun can be hot when you can't push through the sand and it doesn't set for 3 hours from the time they told you to show up to this event.

If they had provided a wheelchair I could have gotten her around with effort.
A few sidewalks and a shaded place for old eyes to enjoy the show would go a long way in demonstrating honor to the elderly and disabled.

I have to say if you get the opportunity to go to Oahu you have to go to Paradise Cove Luau! We asked around and everyone told us by far this was the best Luau on the island and now I know why. We took our 4 young children and they had a blast! The area was absolutely beautiful which you can see from the pictures. They have plenty of activities before the show for adults and for kids. The food was absolutely awesome and trust me you will get plenty! The show was amazing and gives you a true sense of what Hawaii is all about. They treat you amazing and they make sure you have a good time. I really could not tell you what the best part of the Luau was because it all was absolutely amazing! Not only did they put on an amazing show, but after the show they came out where you could talk with them, take pictures, and they see you off back to your hotel! The people of Hawaii are so kind and welcoming, you will be amazed. I guarantee you will not be disappointed if you make the trip to Paradise Cove Luau! I hope you enjoy it as much as my family and I did!

You basically split the night into 3 parts. Pre show activities, dinner, and the show itself.

Before the show there are several different activities available (canoe rides, tree climbing, spear throwing, imu ceremony, hula lessons for kids) and demonstrations... or you can just wander around and enjoy a cocktail - the property is beautiful.

Then there is a dinner. Traditional food - kalua pork, chicken, Mac salad, fish - it was a good spread and was very tasty. One call out - the service was lackluster even by buffet standards. I expected a server to take drink orders and clear plates, but nobody from the wait staff talked to us once after we were seated - party of 7 so we're we're hard to miss. Didn't ruin the night, but if that's important to you it might be worth spending the extra money for the table service package.

Then comes the show... and it is a great production. You aren't at Cirqe de Soleil, but the performers are very talented and clearly have a passion for their heritage. We had center seating, so the view was good... and you are in Hawaii! So what else do you really need?

Was there in 1997 and loved the music and the food! Want to go back soon. The activities were family friendly and pulling in the nets reminded me of an Elvis movie!

Entertainment was wonderful! Worth every cent.

Came in 2010, 2011, and again in 2019. All 3 times were amazing! I love this luau because it doesn't take up your entire day but is still a great time. Plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy before dinner. The food was true to luau form and delicious. Show was outstanding with talented dancers, musicians, and great MC. The staff is so friendly and helpful, lots of Aloha spirit here. This is the only luau on Oahu you need to go to!

This is a very commercialized Luau. They tell you to arrive at 5 and after you have already paid $130 a person they expect walk around and spend more money on garbage Knick knacks until the show starts at 6:30. I expected a lot more for the money I paid. Go find an authentic luau on Kauai, it will be much more worth your money and time.

Tourist Trap. Unfortunate reality is you need to experience a luau in Hawaii, this place plays on that experience need and drives it into the ground with overpriced everything. 18 USD for a drink is absurd. 160 USD for a show and a dinner that you could get at a standard convention hall or buffet - not impressed. Side events do not feel traditional, more of something a child dreamed up and someone spun into a tradition. Save yourself the time and money, look for something traditional and not sold at a hotel or on the streets. Better experiences can be had - Maui has amazing Luaus, wish this on Oahu were of that quality!

Pros:

Pros:
-Food is not bad
-Alcohol prices are decent
-You get a $12 credit to use for alcohol or souvenirs
-There are events before dinner
-The view is beautiful
-The food was out during the whole duration (you can go up for seconds)

Cons:
-No tiki torches (cold nights and lots of bugs)
-Lighting coordination was very bad (they shine lots of lights in your face when it's complete darkness)
-There are intervals where there is no program or anything to do
-The show was really short (around 30-60 mins)
-The pulled pork was extremely dry... definitely doesn't feel like the pig they showed us prior to the meal
-Alcohol station closes before the program so you need to buy more ahead of time
-Expensive versus other luaus and what they offer

The beautiful semi private beach is amazing with beautiful palm, coconut and mangrove trees. The park here is part of the paradise cove luau show, but offers great sunset views and photo opportunities. It makes you feel like you are really in Hawaii. Stay for the luau it is worth the money.

Best Luau show on the island! I highly recommend it, look no further. I do live on ths island and I ve been to all shows on Oahu. Bh far, this one is the best! The entertainers are so professional and the food is amazing. Great activity for families with children as well. Get there early, choose your seat and go enjoy the cultural activities and Hawaiian games. So much fun! The show is fun, engaging with lots of laughter.

Enjoyed it a lot. Took the round trip transfer from Waikiki. The bus ride is about 45 minutes depending on traffic. The tour guide (shout out to Cousin Sexy!) really made an effort to entertain everyone on the bus. The site has a lot of different activities before the actual luau. The staff was really friendly. The performers were really talented. The show showcased many dances from the Polynesian culture. The food was decent but not as good as the other food we had in Honolulu. I would recommend coming to the luau.

I really have no idea why this place is popular......

I really have no idea why this place is popular....
First of all it's far from Waikiki (50+ minutes of bus ride )
Show is okay but have seen better ones at PCC and Royal Hawaiian. Yes they are much better.
Dinner buffet....hmmm really not good at all.
Activities before the luau show .... It's something like local carnival visiting your town. Not much thing to do and to see. You will just have to kill time before the main show.

Lastly on the bus to the Paradise cove, I had a 3 year old kid and we're told to seat altogether on 2 seats which was fine but there were 5 seats available in front and next my seats that no one was seating. The guide said we can't seat there ..... No idea why either.

Bottom line is that your time is valuable in Hawaii. If you have to spend the same time and money - please go to PCC or Royal Hawaiian.
I'm not recommending this Paradise Cove place.

I normally don t post reviews but I just had to talk about my experience. It was my first time ever going to a luau and I had an amazing time. During our time we met a worker named Dee. Hands down one AMAZING woman. She made our night, even finding us during the show and getting my buddy up on stage. If any of you see this woman be sure to give a warm Aloha from Josh and Joe for us!
