The play we saw here was great, but the customer service was terrible. We didn't have cash for the parking lot so they asked us to pay inside. We stood with the cashier inside for 25 min and they couldn't figure out how to have us pay the $10 for parking. We gave up and tried again with another cashier during intermission and the same thing happened. I have no idea what was going on. It's a shame because the place is awesome. If you come here, just make sure you have cash for parking and already have your ticket in hand.

Terrible experience. Someone in my party took their phone out for a few seconds 5 minutes into Ever After and we all got kicked out, didn't even get a refund. Never seeing a show here again.

We saw a musical version of "The Sting" with Harry Connick Jr., which apparently hasn't yet made it to Broadway. We enjoyed the show but not the paucity of women's restrooms for such a huge theater. It was ridiculous. For those ticket prices, the traffic jams, poor parking choices and so on, we won't be returning. Broadway is easier and not much more expensive!

The Paper Mill Playhouse is the next best thing to actually visiting a Broadway production. Time and again, I've been awed by the wonderful theatrical productions showcased in this humble but powerful space. My review is not or any single production, but for the management and core staff that help to deliver hit after hit, in big city style. Kudos to them all. I look forward to my next visit.

Stopped by this cute New Jersey regional theater to see The Outsider. A fun and witty political play that kept the audience entertained the entire show. The price of a alcoholic beverage is well priced for a theater and just boozy enough to justify the purchase. Had a great time, will certainly visit again.

Venue for Off-Broadway to Broadway quality product...

Venue for Off-Broadway to Broadway quality productions.

In terms of accessibility:
-companion (gender neutral or family) restroom available on upper lobby level, a short elevator ride up.
-ASL interpreted shows and Audio-Described shows available (usually only a few shows for each production, so check the schedule. We just saw an ASL production. My family is not fluent in ASL but three family members are conversational, and thought the interpreters were very good. If you are short it may be hard to see the signing from some seats since the theater is not very steeply inclined.
-autism friendly shows are offered I think (I know they used to, so check the website)
-parking for wheelchair vans was confusing but ultimately they were very considerate and let us park very close. If this is relevant to you (if you wheel a wheelchair out of your car, rather than transferring in and out) talk to the cop in front of the theater and ask where to go.

Accessibility offerings really helped a lot. Most staff members didn't seem to know what to do with us (didn't know where our seats were, for ex, or where our bathroom was) but once they asked another staffer, they got the right info, and the theater had everything that we needed! They seemed to want to help. It was snowing when we were loading into our van, for ex, and the staffers salting the driveway actually salted especially hard around us to help us be safe on our ramp. Very kind!

Also, there are teacher discounts for select weekends and select seats.

Finally, there are many good offerings on the area for food and drinks, many of which are handicap accessible.

Enjoyable and convenient conversation.

The actors here are so professional, and the sets are beautiful! Last year me and my friends went to see Mary Poppins and it was amazing. If you didn't know any better you would have thought that it was a Broadway play. In fact, I would say that it was better than Broadway's Newsies and Matilda! 10/10 recommend!!!!!!!!! Also the tickets are reasonably priced!

Plays are fantastic here. They have incredible sets, actors, and props. Their seasons normally have a good mix of original and well known shows. The best thing they have is their student rush. It discounts tickets for students to make theater more accessible.

Parking is a bit sketchy, if approaching from train station, park in lot on the left. Theater was recently renovated and serves light snacks. There is a cafe to the right on theater entrance.
