So sad, been coming there for many years, and loved the gyro plate and salad. They now have a meat similar to textured dog food any call it gyro. Said they have a new supplier. I would have taken it off the menu if I could not get and serve a quality product. Sad
We ate lunch at Papapavlo s Mediterranean Bistro & Bar, and I was disappointed by two things but satisfied with the rest. First, the olive oil on our table was rancid. Second, the soup was extremely over salted. Our entrees (Linguini Carbonara and Moussaka) were very good. Our server was superb.
Was expecting the food to be more fresh. The string beans and carrots seem to be out of a frozen bag and the rice was dry, for the price you would think it would be fresh and crunchy not mushy. The meat was good, and the hummus. Will I be back no. Definitely not worth $128 for three.

Friend recommended this place, my boyfriend took me there for our anniversary. They brought us the menu water and bread they never came back to take our order, it was only us in the restaurant the cook was on the phone all that time, one of the ladies were folding napkins and the the others just walking around.. we waited there for 30minutes, what a disappointment, for our special day was ruined, my boyfriend was very upset..
For our anniversary I decided to surprise my wonderful amazing lady to a place I had heard was a special place in Modesto Papapavlovs. We got dressed and drove 30 minutes to have what we expected would be a great evening experience on our special day. We both dressed in our Sunday best and headed out. Upon arriving we noticed what looked like dog poop right next to the front door. Staff was walking by it as they handed food to some people just outside. We tried our best not to think of it and walked in and were seated next at a table at the front by the window and right by the poop outside. A short latina server sat us and brought us water and someone else brought us some pita bread then we were ignored for the next 20 minutes as the staff including the cooks ignored us. The staff stayed busy folding napkins and silverware but did not come to take our order or acknowledge us. The kitchen staff giggled, laughed and took phone calls all the while looking at us from afar. To say we were devastated is an understatement. We text a few friends asking how long they thought was acceptable to wait on a waiter and they urged us to leave. We waited a full 20 minutes for someone, anyone to acknowledge us but to no avail. This was a very disheartening idea. We felt targeted, insulted and made to feel very small all the while staff laughed and giggled and took phone calls. (Check our photos) This feeling of being belittled on our special day is hard to shake. I wish this feeling on no one especially on a Sunday when we were trying to celebrate and create fond memories of our time. Needless to say we walked out and a waitress followed us out to our car in a very embarrassing moment.
Good food but appetizers were too small for a large good to share. Food was great though. Service is slooooowwwww there wasnt alot of people there but service was slow everyone was done eating and it took almost 30 mins to get the check. Dont go if you want a quick bite go if you have time and dont mind waiting
Fantastic food and service! Going to make it a weekly affair. Flaming cheese and crab cakes divine. Had halibut and it was so tasty.
Amazing place to come on lunch date with, very nice an elegant. Service is great, food is delicious. We'll be Back that's for sure.

They made a mistake with my order, but instead of blaming me or not doing anything about it like some places might, they corrected it for no charge (since what I had actually ordered would have cost extra). Good customer service. The food itself has always been great, too.
Authentic gyros, very flavorful. Shrimp and avocado salad was large and delicious, enough to split. Flaming cheese appetizer tangy delicious. Opa!
I've been twice since I posted the latter part of this review and the customer service declined. I didn't feel welcome in there, I did have different waitresses the second and third time but they were very accommodating for other tables around me and passed my table up a lot. I want even greeted upon arrival while I was waiting to be seated and it took the second server to come to the host booth before I was even acknowledged. So I'm not going back there.....
Older part of this post: The service was exceptional the waitresses professional and friendly, the vibe was welcoming and the food was good. Crab cakes were good the baklava was good

They had a limited menu. VALENTINE'S DAY Excellent choices. We had Chicken marsala, salmon and rib eye. The flames cheese for appetizers. Excellent service and great food. We will be back.
My wife, my daughter and I went to have dinner about an hour ago and ended up walking out after not being attended nor greeted 25 minutes after being seated. My wife went inside to speak to whoever was in charge and the manager practically begged us to give them another chance. We decided to give them another chance and sat back down just to wait some more and to find out we were handed the lunch menu. They also never gave us a childrens menu. We were ready to order nearly half an hour now while the manager insisted on having the chefs make us something from the lunch menu rather than having us even glance at the dinner menu. She even had the audacity to laugh about it when she realized the we had the wrong menu. We ended up leaving. The manager attending to us even had the nerve to be sassy and have a condescending attitude towards us.
We tried calling in regards to acquiring the restaurant owner's name and contact information but kept getting back sass from the manager. She even gaslighted my wife when she called saying she was cursing at her when my wife was being very calm and collective when addressing the issues we had. The manager also refused to tell us her name as well. We felt very discriminated and felt we were treated like second class citizens. When we first got there, it wasn't even busy. We kept seeing several other customers being served that were seated after we had arrived. As we were leaving, the manager also had the nerve to say "fine if you're going to leave us a bad review", so here's your bad review. You definitely need to be retrained or find another job where you dont have to deal with customer service because apparently it's not your specialty. In conclusion, the service was aweful and the manager was very obtuse.

Mediterranean food and the setting at this spot is very good. Great ambiance & decor. The service here is friendly. It has a good feel to it. Reminds me of a cafe in Chicago I liked to visit.
Their pita bread, calamari, bruschetta and lemon pepper chicken soup were amazing, I just need to find a more appealing entree
Sadly, because this is a wait service restaurant, I had high hopes for it being delicious if not entirely authentic Greek, unfortunately it was neither. Their pita is more of a very thin Turkish flat bread, with very little flavor or bite, they skimp on the seasonings except in their tzatziki, which is strangely too spicy, despite the fact that it's purpose in Mediterranean cuisine is to cut through the spice. They are also very confused by to-go orders, despite the fact that they offer them and even have a separate menu for it.
The server wasn't very nice. And the food wasn't that great, way too pricey. I would never go back. And there is a gratitude fee that I didn't know about, our group wasn't even that big.
The service sucked and they weren't even busy. One couple was seated then walked out because they could look around and see know one was being taken care of. The food was good. But it can be Great. One good waiter could have done better than the 3 we saw.
