I just had a phone call where someone accused me of being someone else. Samantha became aggressive on the phone so i terminated the phone call. After reading further reviews it seems they coerce people into paying debts from Optus with no backing or proof. Some even say they are a scam. I will be forwarding the information onto AFCA.I suggest everyone does the same.
A fraud company repeatedly sending emails with Red stamps saying "Open it Urgently" and then there will be an invoice for a small amount like $31.37 or $151.93 etc.. and they threaten to mess up with your Equifax score if not paid immidiately.
In my case I got a bill for AGL due and I had a call with AGL who confirmed I dont owe em any thing and they even sent me a confirmation email.
These guys are just trying to threaten people by issues fines for small amounts so people will just pay off and be reclusive instead of fights, and thats how they are making money.

Panthera staff were extremely helpful. They were able to remove my default (that was wrongly given) and get my credit back in order
Keep contacting me about a debt that I don t have. Always paid my bills in advance and called my electricity provider, they said my account is $200 in credit, I definitely don t owe any money! They are scammers
I have had some rude and unprofessional callers in the past during debt settlements. I was just on the phone to one of your staff. Her name was DARLING and she was the most understanding and most professional callers I ve had come across, she sorted out my debt instalments and was very patient. She even made me laugh with her bubbly personality over the phone. Promts to her for making my life so much easier.
Ridiculous! I specifically called 2 days prior to a payment being due to be taken and asked for it to be stopped. Person on the other end confirmed it would not go through. Sure enough, it was taken on the date I has asked it to be stopped. 5 days later and I am still awaiting a refund which to me proves pointless as another payment is due out tomorrow anyway. Poor service. So quick to TAKE YOUR money but so slow to GIVE BACK YOUR money!
Optus has advised that this company is a scam.
Dodgiest collection company around.
Dont collect any relative information to the debt their collecting for, as every other collection company does.
Staff are recording calls on their end, but when informed their also being recorded for the ombudsman they terminate the call... if its good for the goose, its good for the gander!

22/6/20 - this company now has fraudulantly depicted that they have sent through correspondence in relation to this matter at 12pm.. no such documents have been sent and after asking the operator, he has made fraudulant claims twice as to what my email address is, as i informed him it was incorrect missing an S and when i informed him of this he changed what he said and stated the correct one that i stated was actually what was on file and that it was an interpretation error on my end.
These call have all been recorded.
He has also informed me that this email has been recieved and opened- although their original email address does not exist.
Keep being contacted for a non-existant bill. Have spoken with Optus who they claim it is from and they have confirmed there were no outsatnding balances when the account was closed 4 years ago!!!!

Have contacted company in which they were accusing a debt was accumulated with, the company backing that there was no debt. This company is just trying to get money.
Obviously people are falling for it and the company is being able to use the money to make their company look more accredited.
Don t fool yourself. Check with the actual company they are serving behalf of first before throwing yourself into this scam.
My wife was coerced into paying $7k for a debt that was statute barred. Was told it d clear her credit file, which it didn t. Vin used jargon that we didn t understand and he kept asking us well how much would you like to pay . And what is your want . We were taken advantage off, no better off in the credit department and $7k worse off.
**UPDATE** Panthera s resolution department contacted us and agreed with our review/complaint. They also transferred us our $7,000 back. Turns out not all are bad eggs and we are very happy with the outcome.
My one star remains for Vin but I give 5 stars to the resolution team who went above and beyond to investigate this.

No communication, without contacting me and taking over my debt from other financial institution, their first act was to default me with credit reporting bodies. Then giving me a call to enter into a payment plan.

Have received several text messages from Panthera Finance saying somebody called "Danny" owed money. The text messages looks like a scam of some sort so I have ignored them. Today I called them up after googling them to tell them to remove my phone number from their system as they have the wrong one. The person who answered the call was friendly and helpful. Hopefully I will stop getting spammed by them now!
After reading the reviews we think a class action is needed. Sarah pretty much started to yell and speak over me, the best thing I've ever done is buy a call identifier, they reveal this persons full name and personal information to me and then get aggressive over the phone once they dont get the response or reaction.
ACCC just fined them $500,000 for their illegal behaviour. They keep calling me about a Telstra debt I don't have. They keep calling me when they know I don't owe Telstra anything. I have the emails to prove it. Don't pay them anything. Low life scrum.

Dont do business with these Credit Vultures who get given your debt illegally for zero $0.00 or $1.00 upfront fake debts by Energy Suppliers that *estimate fake bills they will call you from illlegally as interlopers fake mobile numbers give fake names refuse to send you their fake contract which they dont have with you and lodge the fake debt with a Credit Rating agency, they will create multiple enquiries to your Credit files to cause more damage, please report them to the Financial, Energy Ombudsman, Fair Trading!, your Local MPs and demand they present the fake Contract they invented without your signature.

I have a very experience with panthera finance.
The lady commit me to pay certain amount to settle my account. When I call them back to settle my account, the lady on reception was very rude , disgusting behaviour and had no manners at all . I feel like I am trapped. I feel so depressed after that , they harassed people and their bad behaviour gives a life long pain .
The relentless calls from varying numbers will drive you mad and now that I have reached an agreement I still get calls that are hung up from their end as soon as I answer, Is this a new tactic just to see if I'm still here? This Wierd and sketchy business model is clearly why they're compared to scams.

I have been dealing with Alice from PF and I have to say I am not pleased with how this matter or case has been handled. I have stated multiple times that this should indeed be closed off but are continually trying to open it up while also being rude to just take advantage of you and take your money. She constantly asked for things to be done NOW and demanding of this and I have said I have a lot of things to do for work and personal matters. But... she never listened and still demanded for things immediately while on the phone and didn't care how busy I was. PF don't handle things very professionally and are quick to wanting to take your money.

FILE A COMPLAINT WITH AFCA! I recently checked my credit score and it had gone down 50 points because Panthera Finance Pty Ltd bought a debt of from Optus telecommunications that I had a paid in full.(I Have proof) it said paid on my credit file but now it says outstanding. Ive been in contact Panthera Finance Pty Ltd and they said the process will take sometime mean while it's affecting my credit score. I just don't know how they can take on a debt that don't exist rang Optus and they can't understand either. JUST WAITING TO HEAR BACK FROM AFCA I WILL BE SEEKING COMPENSATION.
Scam Company, be very cautious of them. They can't actually produce a invoice of any suggested charges owing. This allows them to skirt a grey area of the law in which they are not breaching privacy. They operate out of queensland and are owned by two brothers who are dubious at best. Contact a lawyer is they harass you and record the conversations.
Very unprofessional, for over 2 year panther finance has had a refund of mine, they only contacted me 2 months ago, still trying to get my money back from them. They reckon it's my fault. Very rude people, they blame people for there mistakes.

Paid debt held with Panthera over a year ago and the company have yet failed to remove the debts from my credit file. I have now approached the Australian finance and credit authorities about this company.
Most rude people I've ever met, meant to be a company yet no landline number... Kinda suss and wouldn't trust them at all... I advise go elsewhere
Panthera was fined by ACCC $500,000 for undue harassment of 3 consumers, just imagine how many more they screwed up, destroyed their credit rating and their ability to borrow. Don't let them scare you they buy the debt cheap and try and intimidate you into paying.
Scum. Buy debt at 3% of face value collect 100% plus interest. Prey on vulnerable people plus pay commission to staff for such a service.

The whole process was customer focused and transparent. Spoke to a Team leader called Miguel his was an absolute gentlemen he helped me close my accounts and explained everything to me in detail which made me comfortable with the outcome, treated me like a person not a number and truly helped me under stand all the intricate details I didn t understand before.

Received a letter in the mail claiming I owe a past energy company (Click Energy) upwards of $400+ well funny I haven t been with that company since August of 2018- Also have not lived at the residence the bill is charged to for over a year.
After reading all the real reviews about this company I am devastated that I have been roped into this fraudulent company s scam- I hope someone with actual power in this company finds this and the email I sent through. Maybe I can change this from a 1 Star to a 3? (At most- best you can give scammers) If not best believe I will be taking legal action for compensation

I had been receiving messages from this company in regards to an Optus account. I have never been with Optus before in my life so I thought it would be smart to ignore the scam
Now that I ve applied for a house loan it s been raised to me that I have a default for this account. I called them and got told it was a virgin mobile account from 2016. I paid the account in full and requested for my default to be cleared.
I would have thought because of the confusion and the incorrect wording of the messages they would fulfil my request but unfortunately not.
I am now having to go through the AUS Financial Complaints department to try and get this resolved so I can buy the house I ve been saving for.
It s incredible how a $160 default can ruin your credit rating.

I only have good things to say about PF (Panthera Finance for those who haven t had the pleasure)! Alan was so professional, and took my $10k in debt from me quickly and without hassle. She sent me several emails to remind me of my outstanding debt, and even rang to ask for it! I ll definitely be racking up some more debt in hopes of collaborating with Panthera again! Five stars!

Disgusting!! Received a message on my phone with a males name saying a bill was overdue. Rang them apparently $3500 from an electricity bill in 2016, asked how my number was connected too the debt as it's only a fairly new number. Mind you I hadn't ever been with the company they claim it was with. Rang the company directly gave over the addresses and my number too see if anything was linked in anyway which there was nothing at all. Go find someone else too bug for a non existent bill!!
Bottom feeders, they take on false debt collections, from 5 years ago, they will ring you off a different number everyday. No land line, just different mobile numbers daily.
