Absolutely magical. The camera dei Giganti and the Camera di Amore e Psiche are absolutely stunning. Italian renaissance at its best.

Absolutely magical. The camera dei Giganti and the Camera di Amore e Psiche are absolutely stunning. Italian renaissance at its best.
...Are we joking? It is a masterpiece of architecture. A few centuries ahead of the concept of urbanization compared to some planners ... I love Palazzo Te. Materialization of cultural introspection.
Breathtaking rooms, i love that each one has a theme
essential stop for anyone visiting Mantova, Palazzo Te is born to the Marquis will (and later Duke) Federico II Gonzaga as a suburban villa designed otium. The entire decoration was designed by Giulio Romano, the most valuable collaborator of Raphael, but it was mostly done by middle skill workers. To visit the complex calmly, following the audio guides, they serve a couple of hours. The ticket is relatively expensive, but if you own the Mantova card can be accessed with only a supplement of 4 euro.
Huge palace, beautiful garden, definitely worth a visit.
You can't lose. If you come from Mantova, a visit is mandatory.
Full of art and history.
Absolutely recommended.
A place that today, like 500 years ago, involves and amazes the lucky guests who access it. Thanks Giulio.
Nice museum with a lot of Italian frescos.
Must visit in Mantova.
If you have to choose between Palazzo Te and Palazzo Ducale. ... choose Palazzo Te
Very nice ... Gorgeous frescoes ... Highly recommend ... if possible with a guide
Beautiful Palazzo dei Gonzaga, frescoed rooms and various collections of Babylonian and Egyptian archaeological finds. Clean and with comprehensive captions. Bathrooms to be reviewed. Admission 12.00 with which you can also visit Palazzo San Sebastiano located not far away. Free parking in front of Palazzo Te. I advise.
Wonderful day trip to Mantua, first stop at Palazzo Te. Wonderful place that alone is worth a visit to the city! Pleasant surprise the free parking and a free shuttle service to the city center. I state that I studied art history and therefore I did not take the audio guide service, but also without,
the information is sufficiently comprehensive to enjoy the visit. Courteous staff also available at the book shop and cafeteria.
Ps. An unmarked starboard ... in the hall of mirrors there is a marvelous optical effect ... place yourself in front of the lunette on the long side where an allegorical female figure holds a ring and continuing to look at it go through the room to the right and left ... you will see that the woman's arm will follow your path and leave you speechless !!
Italy is a dream country !!!!! Mantua, Venice, Florence, Pissa, Verona, Ravenna and ETERNAL-ROME CITY! Words are inexpressive to express the divine !!!
the jewel of Giulio Romano. absolutely to see at least once
It is among the most photogenic buildings I know of!
Contains unique Renaissance rooms in the world, famous the hall of the horses and the room of the giants not to mention the amazing love and psyche
Simply speechless, a masterpiece created by the Gonzagas, long ago, now open to everyone
Art and magic encountered during an exhibition on Guido Romano. It is preferable to be accompanied by a guide.
Huge building with large spaces, beautiful rooms very spacious with frescoes and bas-reliefs truly amazing everywhere ... the Giants Room is simply wonderful! I am happy to have visited the most beautiful Villa in Italy!
It is truly spectacular
I would like to talk about the origin of the name of the building
Of course it does not originate from the well-known beverage, but as a local guide told me from the numerous bamboo canes on the island on a rises the palace
Reeds that were used to build the 'arelle' that is shelters from the sun, from the wind, so they called them the Mantuan
The great palace of the Gonzaga family (built in 1525), painted by Giulio Romagno. Particularly fascinated by illusions painted horses
Are you wondering whether to visit Palazzo Te?
Have you already visited the incredible ducal palace?
The answer is yes.
It is another jewel, full of rooms, wonderful frescoes.
A secret garden, which is beautiful.
Really nice and well usable too. If you go privately, wait at the entrance for a group to be formed to take a private guide. It's better than the audio guide
Palazzo Te is wonderful, for those who are fond of sixteenth-century art it is a jewel to admire. There is the possibility to use the paid audio-guides or to book a guided tour with an expert guide, even in the language I saw.
Safety is important when it comes to wall art and in fact the rooms are equipped with wall sensors that trigger a recorded voice that intends to walk away, all experienced by a girl who accidentally got too close to the wall while trying to do a photo of the internal environment.
Of course I must say that a re-enactment here would be truly spectacular, even if I realize it is dangerous for the value and the artistic heritage present.
If I could I would give it a 10.
Super Pro:
The ticket has a reduction if you bring a Milan-Mantua Trenord ticket to the ticket office.
Very beautiful, the rooms of the giants and horses are wonderful, I visited twice and there is always a side section dedicated to an additional exhibition. In addition there is a museum on the upper floor of one of the side wings which also houses a small Egyptian section.
Mantua beautiful city to walk around even with children fabulous palace like ducal palace
Mantua its palaces its history and beauty have surprised and enchanted us, Palazzo Te for those who love the history of art is an unmissable experience, a must-do experience cannot be missing from the travel notebook of tourists who, like us, love beauties and the emotions that only our country can transmit.
Wonderful sixteenth-century villa and residence of the Gonzagas, it is one of those monuments to visit absolutely if you are in Mantua.
In the many rooms that compose it, the Chamber of the Giants, that of the Horses and that of Love and Psyche are worth mentioning.
A gem ... the guide (Brunella) who accompanied us was exhaustive and made the visit even more interesting !!!!
If you are in Mantua, you can't help but visit Palazzo Te.
Among the beautiful things to see in Verona, I recommend you also visit this museum. It was built as a hunting pavilion, but instead looks a lot like a palace with many rooms all frescoed. Some peculiarities I let you discover. It deserves a stop
Magnificent Palace to visit absolutely
Particular architectural work with beautiful frescoes that, contrary to the norm, as subjects evoke scenes from mythology and not from the relifion. Paintings with pagan themes much rarer to be found in Italy
To see at least once in a lifetime.
Just wonderful
Beautiful palace with many frescoes and exhibitions. Cultural events of all kinds are organized for both children and adults.
Wonderful!!!! The rooms follow one another with a growing amazement up to the Room of the Fall of the Giants where you get lost in the beauty and particularity.
Well-preserved historic building with beautiful rooms and frescoed vaults, wonderful fresco in the room of the giants. Clean and essential environments. Well-kept garden outside the building ideal for a stopover. One of the most beautiful buildings in Mantua. To visit with the cumulative ticket which gives right of access to other buildings.
Magnificent palace !!!! The room of giants to take your breath away ... all accompanied by a very nice and competent guide .... thanks Brunella !!!!
Mantua Palazzo Te (from Tigli?) And on an island that does not exist Giulio Romano creates the palace of fairy tales for the voluptuousness of F. Gonzaga, made duke by Charles V, with all the expressive force (which becomes mannerism) of the Renaissance and the absolute masterpiece is created. summa and painting architecture. The halls, and are numerous, are frescoed in a similar Raphaelite manner, the painter was a pupil of Raffaello Sanzio, there are many of his own, Michelangiolesche mannerist architectural solutions make this palace one of the Italian post-Renaissance marvels. Access for the disabled with some small effort with the wheelchair to overcome the thresholds is possible, if you are fast of art it is better to rely on an expert guide or download some mobile application to listen obviously in headphones.
The room of the giants ... wonderful !!!!!! Worth a visit
It is a beautiful building with beautiful drawings to visit
Wonderful to visit with the san sebastiano museum! Frescoed rooms with stucco and incredible shapes!
A palace just outside Mantua, where the tranquility and grandeur of the building gives an idea of how they lived in the relaxed atmosphere.
Very beautiful place, the hall of the giants is spectacular. I don't give 5 stars just because one of the attendants was very rude to us for no reason, which made the visit less pleasant.
Very nice place, both architecturally and as regards the frescoes and interior decorations. The price is negligible, especially if you enjoy the reduction. Not all the rooms are so impressive, but there are two or three - excluding the room of the giants which alone is worth the full price of the ticket - that really deserve.
Made the tour with the guide, very interesting and well kept
Single building. Full of wonderful frescoes to see at least once in a lifetime.
A magical place, in the whirlwind of emotions, that only the beauty of an open-air casket, such as Mantua, can give
Beautiful site, but I do not recommend it in the months of July and August because there is no air conditioning unlivable
Wonderful palace. The Giulio Romano frescoes are pure enjoyment for the eyes and mind. Essential, you can not leave without visiting Mantua Palazzo Te.
A place that today, like 500 years ago, involves and amazes the lucky guests who access it. Thanks Giulio.
Historic building, the Gonzaga summer home, built by Giulio Romano: a place to see if you are passing through Mantua, to breathe the ancient and noble air of this place, which is still perceived. Also to be seen at least once a year for the Mantovani, who having it comfortable take it for granted, weakening the memory of the wonder it arouses.
The greatness of history, compared to today's stories, policies, if we were to do a TE today, would be impossible. But anyway, life goes on ...
A marvel of Italian art when even the province was able to produce works of art such as the most celebrated capitals
