Pais Movement: Empowering the Next Generation of Missionaries
Pais Movement is a global missions organization that offers a unique opportunity for young people to take a gap year in missions work. The organization provides training in evangelism, discipleship, and Bible study to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge they need to become effective missionaries.
Founded in 1992 by Paul Gibbs, Pais Movement has grown into an international network of over 1,000 missionaries serving in more than 20 countries around the world. The organization's mission is to empower the next generation of Christian leaders by providing them with practical ministry experience and spiritual formation.
At Pais Movement, participants are given the opportunity to serve alongside experienced missionaries who provide mentorship and guidance throughout their journey. The program is designed for individuals between the ages of 18-25 who are passionate about sharing their faith and making a difference in the world.
The Gap Year Program
The gap year program offered by Pais Movement is completely free of charge. Participants are responsible for raising their own support through fundraising efforts or personal contributions. Once accepted into the program, participants receive training at one of Pais' training centers located around the world.
During this time, they learn about evangelism strategies, discipleship methods, leadership development techniques as well as how to study and teach from scripture effectively. They also have opportunities to participate in local outreach programs where they can put what they've learned into practice.
After completing their initial training period at one of Pais' centers around the world (which lasts anywhere from three months up until six months), participants then move on to serve alongside experienced missionaries on location for another six months up until twelve months depending on which country they choose.

Pais Movement offers missionary opportunities all over the globe including Europe (UK & Ireland), North America (USA & Canada), South America (Brazil & Argentina) Africa (South Africa) Asia-Pacific region (Australia & New Zealand). Each location has its own unique culture and challenges that require different approaches when it comes to evangelism and discipleship work.
In addition to traditional missionary work such as preaching sermons or leading Bible studies; there are also opportunities available for those interested in music ministry or sports ministry among others! This allows individuals with different skill sets or interests find ways that fit them best while still being able contribute towards spreading God's love across borders!
