PADS Lake County Review

I was turned away and given a piece of paper by a young girl that was more interested in gossiping with other staff than even doing an intake with me after I explained I was from a different state with major health issues with nowhere to go. It was very cold outside and I was so lost. I don't even understand why she's still employed if she's not going to do the job. God sees all.. If the shoe was on the other foot.. She would probably cause a scene with that hood unprofessional motor mouth. SMH

First place in lake county to move in this shelter I must say the helped me get section 8 when my baby was 3 now 16 thanks lake county for everything

Since i came into town being run out of florida i used this as a safe haven from day 1 i was treated like a clown had to come back 3 times for intake. Since working with case worker i have gotten no where. Everything is ran in house I believe so when you lodge a complaint it goes to their boss, who of course will side with them. I see more drug use then help and the property they choose from no side walks to the main road to a waste pond and next to a freeway is not in my eyes safe. Im very grateful im not sleeping in my car but not sure what tomorrow brings.

I was being charitable and it was a horrible experience!!! Why would a " charity" be rude and ungrateful!

If you dont Look disheveled. And appear raggedy as if you really need to live in a shelter. Then they won't help you with anything else. They'll tell you. 2 Go elsewhere for help and the Resources should be for everyone whether you're homeless or not.

Theresa Kaporis needs shelter as of tomorrow, which is Saturday, April 17, 2021. I contacted them, because my unemployment ran out.

They said no, because they are not providing shelter for anyone now.

Shut this place down!!!!

This was the first place I came when I relocated to Lake County in 2017. The lady at the front desk was rude. I hope she isn't there to treat anyone else. Shame on you!

I was in shock, of course for a long time. Some of them looked like my classmates.
At first, some helped me, then they kicked most of us out for group and said rudely to come back at

I did most everything myself on my phone & @ the library. They got complaints from the local businesses about us being outside. Then they should be looking for a new location, not blowing us off.
