The store is great! It's clean and well organized and the staff was very helpful and very nice. The price of things was high, but it was all really high quality brands. I'll have to save up to get those keen shoes! Very nice

Great place to buy a firearm! Staff are very knowledgeable and friendly! I was "new" to firearms and they had no problem taking their time explaining to me what's what and legal ect. They'll price match if they feel the need to and also give you 10% off any firearm related products including ammo when you pick up your gun. I'll continue shopping here because of the great service, fair pricing, and lack of pushy sales staff :) I also had an issue with a magazine i purchased and they had no problem taking care of me on it. Thank you guys!

The experience we had at Pacific outfitters was very informational for myself and my husband

I walked in here and straight up told the guys that I'm from Alberta and know next to nothing about surfing, but I was determined to try it while in California. They were super helpful with my rental right from the start, from getting me fitted in a wetsuit to carrying the surfboard right out to my vehicle, and even showing me the best place to go on Google Maps.

When I returned with their equipment 10 minutes before they closed (on a Sunday, to make matters worse,) they let me use their hose in the back to rinse everything off and showed no signs of being annoyed or displeased at all. Everyone at this store was incredibly helpful and friendly. I wish I knew more of the names, but unfortunately I don't, so I'll just give a shout out to Craig since he shouted his name to me across the parking lot

These people know the sports and equipment they deal with and they will be happy to help you with anything. It also looked like they had a great selection of BMX and mountain bikes, which is usually what draws me into a store like this. I know if I'm ever back in Eureka l'll be going to Pacific Outfitters again.

Solid outdoor store hits all the basics. They have a decent scuba selection which is rare in the area.

This is where I go for all of my outdoor needs since Pacific outfitters has the most knowledgeable staff in Humboldt County! I Was just there recently taking care of some of my hunting needs and the crew there was very professional and well trained which made everything quick and easy and very pleasant. Pacific Outfitters has every sporting need very well covered and has long term employees In every department which gives them their knowledgeable edge over all of their competition in the county. It seems that everywhere else in Humboldt County sporting good stores you find newbies and unknowledgeables quick to waste your time so without trying to sound rude, I will say it's my experience that Pacific Outfitters is the best place to go for all of your sporting good needs!

This is the place for great quality outdoor stuff in Eureka and friendly too.

They refill fuel bottles here. I have a 30 oz MSR fuel bottle, and didn't want to shell out 15 bucks for a gallon of camp fuel. I think I ended up paying less than 4 bucks for the refill. Lots of other good outdoor gear and friendly staff.

Best sporting goods store on the north coast. Staff is knowledgeable and eager to help. If you go to the gun department wait your turn and you will get the full attention of the clerk.

Great rentals and high quality gear. A bit expensive.

I have been in the area, off and on for over forty years, the name changes, yet the shopping experience has not. The selection of inventory, professional, knowledgeable and articulate staff, who are NOT afraid of saying, "I am not sure, however, allow me to find the RIGHT answer for you." with a friendly smile as well. We all desire the best possible value for our money, while they may not have everything under one roof, they do have enough of all shopping elements for some of my purchases and neighborhood dollars. I strongly recommend that you make a trip to see them and decide for themselves.

Fantastic selection, I've bought a 4 season tent, a beautiful Cannondale and all sorts of other great gear over the years. Always my first place to check if I need anything for the outdoors. The bike shop is top notch, Dan is a wizard with the stuff. I don't trust any other shop in the Humboldt area with my ride. Staff is friendly and helpful. Keep it up!

My wife had a negative experience with an employee refusing to honor the stores return policy. I went today and talked to Jon Boyer the store manager, he gave me a full cash refund and apologized for what had happened, he seemed genuinely sorry. I am pleased with the way he handled the situation so I m upgrading my review from 1 star to 2. If you ever have a problem, just ask to talk to Jon.

I live in Oregon and stop when passing through. I got my first sleeping bag there. What 30+ years ago.

I went in for a kayak paddle and was helped right away. Attentive staff and a decent selection of various Sporting Goods. This place has a kayak and water sports section while the one in Arcata does not

Small amount of fly fishing stuff was more than anywhere else in town open on a weekend.

I am a long time customer of Pacific Outfitters, based on that I am prefacing this with the fact that this is my only negative experience with them.

I have been told that Pacific Outfitters is one of the only places in town to do a firearms transfer. Almost half a month after I initiate, I call them and ask them what's going on. They tell me they know nothing about it, and try to blame me. "You've got to call them, tell them where to ship it. We can't do that, you'd need to pay us 60 dollars an hour to do that." Scratching my head, I hang up and call the originator -- to find that Pacific Outfitters had never sent their ID or anything to them to initiate the transfer. I call Pacific Outfitters back, and the same gentlemen (after I had righted his gap in knowledge) in the firearms dept blames the person that took my transfer for the delay. Well yes, it was his fault... but when I called trying to solve this problem, you blamed me for your company's mistake.

Certainly a negative experience but I will continue supporting local businesses. Maybe Pacific Outfitters should check in on their transfers after a few days. Keep track of things, so people don't end up waiting a month to receive a firearm.

I just got the best deal in town on a pair of suuuuuuper comfy keens(was looking for chacos but the price of these keens swayed me) and picked up some super fresh looking board shorts as well.

I came in right before closing, so I did my best to hurry. The manager was super accommodating and made sure I found everything I was looking for.

This place is great and I can't wait to go back when I have a little bit more time.

Pacific outfitters of eureka has alot outdoor activity based equipment hunting fishing bicycling snowboard camping . My opinion the staff not all but some are a bit stuck up and even though they carry solid merchandise I feel the prices are a little high. I would rather buy online if I have the option .

Passing through town for a couple things, went in to buy some stove fuel. Asked cashier about nearby points of interest, they were not familiar with area, told me to check online - didn't point me to a map of the area. Other nearby employee's seemed to be busy.

Got lots of great fire arms and hunting/fishing supplies, great outdoor place with helpful staff.

I went into Pacific Outfitters specifically for bicycle questions. The man behind the counter was very helpful and friendly. They had great prices and my next bike will definitely be from there!

My husband purchased a bicycle from this shop a few years ago, it was sold with free maintenance for the life of his ownership of the bike.
He finally had a flat , the one time he needed something done on the bicycle they send it was their store and they could do wanted they weren t going to honor anything ..

Knowledgeable staff, great selection, plenty of parking and this place has the ins on all local sporting events, too. Take a class on kayaking or self defense. It's all good.

I've attempted to use this store over the last 5 years only to be disappointed every time. Decoys, guns, camping gear, bikes, shoes, and other such items can be found at much better prices around Humboldt. I want to like this store and shop local as their staff is friendly, but every time I comparison shop, they fall well below the mark. I just don't make that kind of money.

They have the most experienced outfitters and diverse selection of outdoor gear in Humboldt!

Set up bow appointment in person but when I showed the person I was supposed to meet he wasn't there. I went to store twice in one day for no reason.
They said after my two pointless visits that adjusting my bow would take 3 months and 60$. I went home and after 30 minutes of YouTube I did it all myself.
Over priced, understaffed, made fake appointment and the fact that it takes them 3 months is insane. It took me an hour to do it all with no training. Maybe the employees are not working hard enough? Or getting too stoned?

This business sells camping gear and takes sleeping bags, tents and clothes from Homeless People. Aaron Ostrom is the owners name. It's called a 90 minute clean-up. The owner calls the police to raid Homeless campsites, then marches with his army of Homeless hate troopers to take everything from them. He doesn't want Homeless People in Humboldt and wants shelters for Homeless People gone. He wants homeless people without access to shelter to die of exposure and he's pretty outspoken about it. He regularly harasses Homeless People in Eureka, assaulting them and mocking them. Not only is this practice illegal, but is unlawful for a business to support. He will not sell any equipment to Homeless People and gives false reports to the police. He is outspoken about this activity. You can Patronize this place if you want, but if you know someone who has been Homeless or have been outside or in your car, he wants you DEAD!

Great item quality and multiple staff members that are willing to help find the right items or point you to another place that has what your looking for.
