Battelle/PNNL killed my Father without proper safe guards. Utilizing his PhD work in ultrasonic tomography there he had been tasked with scanning large containers of radio active materials. He developed inoperable cancer a year later. Died three later.

Battelle/PNNL took no responsibility.

So far my knowledge goes, it' s a very nice and suitable place for job oriented people. One may feel to be dignified in doing job. PNNL addresses America' s most pressing issues like energy, environmental and cyber security.

Preeminent national research laboratory, but forget about tours unless you have been specifically invited. Very few public access facilities - and the ones that used to exist are being restricted, such as the auditorium. Best to go online to see what PNNL is up to. If you have a specific scientific interest, you might try contacting a researcher at the lab who can arrange a visitor pass. I haven't been back since I retired from PNNL.
