Pacific Lutheran University (PLU) is a private university located in Tacoma, Washington. Founded in 1890 by Norwegian pioneers, PLU has a rich history of providing high-quality education to students from diverse backgrounds. Academics
PLU offers more than 3,000 courses across its five colleges: Arts and Sciences; Business; Education and Kinesiology; Nursing; and Social Sciences. The university also offers graduate programs in business administration (MBA), education (MAEd), nursing (MSN) and marriage & family therapy (MMFT). With a student-to-faculty ratio of 11:1, PLU provides an intimate learning environment where students can receive personalized attention from their professors.

Athletics
PLU competes at NCAA Division III level with 19 varsity sports teams including football, basketball volleyball soccer cross country track & field swimming tennis golf softball baseball wrestling rowing lacrosse ultimate frisbee rugby bowling cheerleading dance team equestrian team etc..
