This is an amazing complex!! With seating for more than 7000 people, theirs plenty of room for everyone. Definitely a family welcoming environment. Very well kept during activities. Food and refreshments are priced around that of any major stadium or vendor. Parking is plentiful and fairly easy to navigate. Surrounding the arena is plenty of gas stations, hotels and other amenities. Check out there website, as they host many events throughout the year.

The farm show is a great experience for the whole family. It is s great way to learn more about Pennsylvania agriculture, meet businesses active in agriculture, and explore aquaponics and hydroponics.
However, if you are already active in the Ag industry and wish to look at equipment and supplies, the farm show is not the place to do it. Over the years, it has become more of an educational experience for those unfamiliar with agriculture and practices used in Ag. There's nothing wrong with that, as it gets the public more involved and aware of where their Ag products are coming from.
Overall, it is free to get in, but parking is $15. It's well worth it though, when you park in satellite parking and a coach bus that is heated is provided to drop you off at the front door of the complex, and is there to take you back.
The best time to arrive at the show is early morning. I then recommend going to the food court mid morning (9:30-10) or late afternoon (3-4) as around lunch and dinner, the area is packed. Although the food court is the most crowded area of the whole show.
Fair warning, if you go to the farm show it will take the whole day to see everything, and even then you will manage to miss at least one exhibit. It is also advised to dress warm. The barn areas are kept cool.

As usual, events held at the Farm Show Complex are well organized. This year, I have been to the Farm Show and now the Harrisburg Auto Show. Plenty of parking is available, though on well attended events off-site parking is added with shuttle service. Today I was able to park next to the complex. The complex has restrooms and food stands through out the building. Parking charges are high at times, but the proceeds go to PA agriculture funds and outreach. Definitely a place to attend an event of your liking.

Well, parking was 20$. I guess not too bad since farm show was free. Inside, it was unbelievably crowded. Bathroom, despite all of the people, it was relatively clean, except for a few toilet stalls. I guess food didnt agree with some since it looked like they exploded. That was disgusting. Food I believe was way overpriced. 9$ for a hot sausage on a horrible long roll that a child could have made better for me. 4$ for flat soda. I will eat at Burger King (if needed) before I buy food from there again. The animals were a pleasant sight. (Locked up in tiny cages). I'll say there was a variety of beautiful women to stare a try if your husbands or BF gets bored. The trinkets vendors were selling were pricey but I guess worth the money if you have some. My woman bought a few things, of course I was the human carrier and her 15lb purse as well..geez women! WTH do y'all have in those darn things!

I attended The Great American Outdoor Show here and was overall very pleased with our experience. However the bathrooms are few and far between. That being said the staff were great and we all had fun.

So much to see. From farm equipment to livestock. Tons of information on garden set-up, food safety. And lots of choices for food to eat. Livestock shows, rodeo. Livestock area is clean, as is the food court. Plan to spent plenty of time.

Another fabulous year here at the Great American Outdoor Show in Harrisburg. Lots to see and do from hunting, fishing, camping, outdoor products, tour exhibitors (over 400), firearms, archery and more. If you love seafood, definitely try the crab cake sandwich and crab soup as it is really good. As wel, make sure to bring good shoes as you will do LOTS of walking. :)

The cars were great, sadly though because we couldn't afford to buy one. It was a nice change of pace. As always Auntie Anne's pretzels were great.. Stan and I had ae fun day out of the house.

My longer review seem to get more views, so here goes. The farm show is awesome! They have ducks, rabbits, cows, pigs, chickens, and many more animals. Also, try one of their famous milkshakes, available at the farm show or the new Jo Jo's pizza in Mechanicsburg across from Zimmerman's automotive on market street I think. If you do the Turkey Hill scavenger hunt at the farm show and turn it in when you're done, you'll have a chance of winning free ice cream for a year! I should also mention that Infinity War was a very good movie. I look forward to seeing part 2 next year after I've been to the farm show one extra time.

Very large complex. I have been there for two gun shows and the great American outdoorsman show. It has a lot of space for a myriad of different events. But whatever event you go to, many rooms still smell faintly like a barn, as many farm shows are held here, as one would expect.

There's SO much for kids to see and do. You CAN spend a lot of money there, but it isn't necessary. There's so much to do that is free, including admission! Parking is crazy outrageous, but they have a lot of employees and busses to pay for.

This is such an interesting old venue. It's actually in pretty great shape for as long as it's been around and how heavily it's been used. Be prepared to get dirty! The dirt and dust seems to fly like crazy in this enclosed space. Not a bad seat in the arena. The seats are pretty small. But not terribly uncomfortable.

Have gone here for many events never have had a problem finding bathrooms or food vendors does get very packed. Very clean considering it host many large events. Not recommended for someone who doesn't like crowds. I was recently at the gun show this past weekend and they only used half the one arena it could have been spread out much greater couldn't turn around without bumping into someone!

It is a family tradition for like the 10 years to go every year. I love going to look at all the different chritmas things and stuff they have and the train display that they put up every year.
