A nice cozy animal park, the Panda Bears have a fantastic stay.

Pandas are rightly the number one crowd puller. Beautiful Chinese accommodation. Contrasts sharply with the rest of this zoo where we hardly saw any animals (all hibernating?). High entrance fees and then also ask 7 euros for a mud parking lot .... zoo is really something for the summer.

Great zoo. Well maintained, tidy, friendly staff and beautiful animals. So if you want to experience a fun day at a zoo, then Ouwehands Zoo in Rhenen is highly recommended.

I think it is a fantastic zoo. It is actually my favorite park. The bear forest, the elephants, cats and play areas for the children. I really recommend it.

Erg geschrokken van het gebrek aan coronamaatregelen!!! Er was een gigantisch groot aantal mensen, die kriskras door elkaar liepen en slecht afstand hielden. Het was overal knetterdruk. Er was geen toezicht, ook niet op drukke punten zoals de rij bij de panda's en het berenbos. Erg langdurige wachtrijen bij de horeca. Vieze wc's. Een hele dag nergens iemand iets zien schoonmaken! Alleen bij de ingang een klein paaltje met ontsmettingsmiddel, verder nergens. Wij waren de enigen met een mondkapje. Die waren ook nergens te vinden, alleen bij de uitgang in een winkeltje, voor veel geld.
Bizar dat op de website zo hoog wordt opgegeven over de coronamaatregels! Er klopt helemaal niks van. Wij hebben ons tijdens het hele bezoek erg gestresst gevoeld en hebben veel plekken moeten overslaan omdat het er veel te druk was.
We zijn nu erg bezorgd dat we, na maanden thuis zitten en alle contacten vermijden, toch corona hebben opgelopen op een plek waar het veilig zou moeten zijn.

If you are going out for a day and want to see animals up close, go to Ouwehands zoo. Every year we always go to the zoo for a day and this year it was Ouwehands. Well-kept park, referring to the accommodation, animal care, facilities for the visitors, the only point of improvement would be the sea lion show. Working with animals is always difficult, but the ladies had no problems with that, but I found the interaction with the audience during the show a bit aloof and during the movies the sound of the person on the screen was very predominant, so that children started crying and didn't even see the sea lions. Have also been to the panda residence and knowing how lazy pandas are I can't speak a bad word about it. Keep in mind that they sleep a lot and are rather lazy than tired. I give a four out of five stars, because if you are very critical there is a point for improvement, but on the whole it is definitely recommended. You get close to the animals, clear explanation and the park is very clean. I'm definitely going back again.

They do their best to follow the corona rules, but implementation still provides some small points, among other things.
- because of the crowds at the "beginning" of the walking route, groups are sent in the other direction. So these people are walking in the opposite direction all the time.
- at the panda enclosure (which is of course extremely popular) an employee is counting visitors so that there are not too many people on the square. But ... if you like us after having stood in line for 1 hour and are 60 euros lighter from the souvenir shop just looking after the panda, you are soon asked with a sigh if you want to leave the area because the queue so long. (Happened in our case not really friendly, gets a bit of the feeling that you are not welcome)

Mooie dierentuin en ook zeer geschikt met kleine kinderen: veel speelplaatsen en zelfs een grote overdekte binnenspeeltuin.
Daarnaast is Ouwehands de enige dierentuin in Nederland met reuzenpanda s en sinds 2020 een jong.

Nice and spacious animal park. Many playgrounds for the children, and of course the beautiful indoor play area! Lots of different animal species with beautiful and spacious accommodation. Good and extensive hospitality, and friendly staff. The new complex for the pandas has become very beautiful!

Zeer slecht rekening te houden met Corona (Covid19). Het publiek lijkt echt onbezonnen en het park zelf laat teveel mensen toe.
Verder kleine leefruimtes voor de dieren. Wel mooi dat ze een paar dieren hebben die andere dierentuinen niet hebben.
