Best Place Ever! I took My 18 month old daughter tonight and She had a fever and stiff neck! We were very worried. The staff was wonderful as always. The doctor who treated her was very thorough and so good with her. It turned out to be strep throat. Also We weren't there very long. It's definitely worth driving a hour and twenty minutes for me!

After being treated so well the first time, I went back for more care with several of their drs and surgeons. I have always been treated with care, efficiency, courtesy, and very knowledgeable personnel in each field, including cleaning staff. Appreciate their attitude of service. They seem to keep up with the latest in their fields.

We have been here almost 5 hours now in the er. I have watched people come and go and even ones that came in after me. When we got here there were three people in the waiting room. And they have already come and gone as well as countless others. I see zero reasons to let someone sit for 5 hours. NOT A GOOD HOSPITAL TO GO TO IF YOU ARE NEEDING SEEN.

I had a horrible experience with OLBH while my mother was here. I spoke with several people trying to address my concern. No one seemed to care or felt that nothing was done wrong. My mother was weak and ordered to have nothing by mouth. It took therapy 3 days to conduct a swallow test and they only had to come from the 1st floor to the 3rd floor. Test was done ordered her to have only thickened liquids and chopped food and to be fed. Next tray was given and a few moments later her Dr came into her room during patients rounds. She observed my mother having a tray by herself and was struggling and had liquids spilled all over her. The Dr was excellent and noted everything in her chart. She also put the order in again for her to have special food and to be fed. Even the names of the nurses working at that time. Unfortunately that was her last meal she died that afternoon. Not one person I spoke to acknowledged that fact that there was a lack of communication. And that orders were not followed. I will forever be heartbroken by the negligent care my mother received. Other things happened also, one being uncaring attitudes from the nurses. I thought by reaching out that someone might appreciate the fact that these things happened and could investigate and see it didn't happen to other patients. Unfortunately the ones I spoke to was not interested in the care of the patients. They spoke to me as if they were taking up for themselves personally and not one bit concerned about patient care. Past, present or future. If they didn't have patients to care for they most certainly would not have a job! I would think that patient care of all aspects, big and small would be top priority. Sure was not the case with my experience.

My family physician is in the network so I get referred here for Radiology, which I've had nothing but good experiences there, but I've accompanied family here to the ER and some hospital stays and fundamental things like communication seems pretty appalling. Different people coming in asking the same questions over and over BEFORE you're admitted doesn't give you a sense of assurance. I witnessed the staff having to look 6 times, yes 6, to find a portable med pole that would hold a charge between my room and Radiology. If I have a choice I go elsewhere.
