Cool shop featuring a variety of homeware goods produced by local artists and craftspeople. A bit of everything for everyone makes it worth a visit to peruse and browse around even if a purchase is not intended. Definitely come out of with an appreciation for hand crafts and the local community.

Excellent customer service. Website easy to navigate. Order easy to process. Updated clearly by email. Order prepared very quickly (within 24h). When you call to pick up your order the staff are incredibly pleasant to speak with and bring order out immediately. Items are well-packaged, of excellent quality, and smell great. Can't wait to go into the store one day. Couldn't be easier.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, and they had a great set up to keep social distancing, with hand sanitizer at the entrance. Great visit, and amazing selection of items.

We had a custom table, bench and chairs made at Maker House Co. and had such a fantastic experience working with Gareth and his team. They went above and beyond to help deliver us the product that we wanted. We love supporting local companies and locally-produced goods, and were very happy that we found this store. Very interesting and unique store selling local goods. I did find it to be a little on the expensive side, but know that you are supporting local talent. Curious to see how quickly new items may arrive.

A large space filled with a variety of handcrafted objects that range from small knick-knacks to furniture pieces. A large portion of the items were Canadian themed.

I'm not much for knick-knack type stores in general but I actually enjoyed this one. We had friends visiting from the States and they also both seemed to enjoy browsing the collection of objects.

Definitely worth checking out if you venture over to wait in the line at SuzyQ's.

This is the little department store of awesome. From cards, kitchenware, furniture to knick knacks, everything is gorgeous and well made. Staff are incredibly friendly. A must-go!

Unbelievable quality made right here in Ottawa or near Ottawa. We bought a table from Maker House Co. that is nothing short of spectacular (live edge maple) and at a great price too. So much so that we wanted him to put his brand right on the top of the table but they didn't think it was appropriate lol! Gareth and his wife Sarah (the owners) are sincerely great people who have all the right ideas and who's hearts are in the right place. Their passion, with Maker House Co., is to promote quality handmade firnuture in order to support the local industry and make people smile.

I think that local should not mean way overpriced. My experience of getting a custom consoles was a bit disappointing, with having the price go up 3 times 100$ each time at all stage of the development, from the salesperson to the manager to the cut shop what local crafts needs to go trough a cut shop anyways ? I value quality but I felt like I was really getting ripped off here.

I entered the shop at 10.56. They told me they would open at 11.00 and invited me to come back. Sorrry men for bothering your morning nap. Lesson learned: do not show up here before 11 sharp!

A lot of interesting and well made items. They are not all local, so keep an eye out. But I think they're all at least from within the province. Left with a few nice items and look forward to returning.

I absolutely love this place - not only are they dog friendly, I also never leave this place without finding something new that I ve never seen anywhere else! And now they offer free delivery in Ottawa if you spend $49! I ordered myself two herb garden sets and a handmade soap dish - everything was delivered within NOT EVEN 24h! That s absolutely insane - thanks so much for getting everything to me with care and sooooo darn speedy too, I really appreciate it! Can t wait to start my own little herb garden.

Absolutely loved my experience shopping online. Their website is beautiful and runs without a problem. All items are well organised and the "hashtags" were really helpful for jumping around and finding new items.
My order was ready really quick, curbside pick up was quick and easy, and handed out with some smiley eyes.
They double check the orders (2 check marks) which is lovely to know they take great care in packing orders.

I visited this store in-person and fell in love!! Later I ordered a beautiful wine rack online by jmb Canada. It was free shipping and was personally delivered within two days! They also added personalized a card thanking me for shopping and supporting Canadian makers. Super impressed and I will be back to finish my Christmas shopping there!
