One of the best farms in NJ. A must see for the fall. Hayride to a pumpkin patch to pick your own pumpkins, corn maze, farm stand, and on weekends there are food trucks, craft beer trucks, local crafts for sale, and even a monster truck to ride. Lots of fun. With COVID, you must buy tickets in advance and make a reservation.

Good

What a waste, it's not an actual pumpkin picking like you pluck It from the ground n all, they just put few pumpkins on the ground and faked it to be pumpkin picking..won't recommend going there for sure.

Wonderful Farm! My littles and I went to pick strawberries back in July and it was the sweetest berries we've tasted. They follow mask and social distancing guidelines and most other patrons also were respectful of the measures. All staff was helpful and kept things moving. We will be visiting again!

A lot of fun things to do for the little ones! Food was great.
I went on weekend, it got very crowded especially food area. Hard to do social distance. Overall, we had a lot of fun. My son can't stop talking about the monster truck ride.

Wonderful farm for autumn activities and pumpkin picking. Much less crowded, more affordable and much prettier view of foliage and mountains then the other farm down the road everyone goes to. Went there one year and was dissapointed we didn't do Orts. We've been coming here for 20 plus years. Took my daughter when she was small, this year we took my grandson:)

Beautiful farm for the joy of the entire family. Pretty affordable with lots of activities for all ages.

We visited this farm today, almost a year after our first visit. Everybody was wearing masks due to COVID-19. Super organized and once again we found several activities for the youngest once in the family

This farm was highly recommended by a friend who went with her kids during the week. I am writing about my weekend experience.

The farm was very overcrowded. Nobody was practicing social distancing or wearing masks despite the many signs reminding people to do so. Staff was lax about mask wearing within 6 feet of others as well.

We entered the farm by the farm stand and purchased tickets for the sunflower trail. The girls we bought tickets from told us to head across the street for pony rides, the Apple cannon, and the train - which were all to be paid for separately. My kids were very excited and we headed there and waited on line for the pony ride, watching other children ride. When it was our turn they told us that the activities today were for participants or a birthday party only. This was not indicated anywhere on the website for today and the farm staff did not seem to all be aware of this as we were told to go there if we want to pay for a pony ride. My kids were very upset. We took the (very bumpy) hay ride to the sunflower trail - which unfortunately has been mostly destroyed due to a recent storm (obviously not the farm s fault). The only thing left to do was for my kids to ask to play on the play structures (which I wouldn t let them do due to a ton of kids playing - none of which were wearing masks). I stopped at the farm stand hoping to buy some things before heading home but again it was overcrowded with no social distancing so I couldn t even explore. We left very disappointed having spent about $40 to do literally nothing. We will not be coming back.

Another point - I am an audiologist. I went to check out the Apple cannon since that was the #1 thing my son wanted to do. Besides being unavailable due to the party, the cannon is definitely loud enough to cause hearing damage with just one shot. I did not have ear plugs with me and would not have let my kids do it even if it was available for them. If you plan on doing this activity, bring hearing protection.

Very disappointing experience.

This is our favorite place to go pumpkin picking. Friends of ours recommended it, having gone every year since they were kids. It's a tradition for us now as well.

Besides having the obvious hay ride and pumpkin picking, there is also a corn maze, apple cannon, mini train ride, monster truck ride, and petting zoo. Most of these cost a little extra. If you don't want to spend the cash, there is a hay tower to climb, a hay tunnel and lots of photo opportunities. The petting zoo itself is also free if you don't want to feed the animals.

FYI, the past few years, there has been a Groupon for the hay ride and corn maze. It has saved us a great deal of money!

Ort Farms has so much to offer. In the fall our family enjoys pumpkin picking, the corn maze, pony rides & monster truck rides. It is a great time for all ages. There is something there for everyone to do. In the summer, the CSA is amazing. We love the fresh grown produce. They also have beautiful hangong baskets and flats of flowers.

This is our third year doing their CSA and each year they have made improvements. Freshly picked produce with lots of flexibility for substitutions, recipes, as well as the picnic in Sept. with activities including their maze! A great value.
