This was the absolute worst experience of my entire childhood. I went there in 2007 at 9 years old. The camp leaders were physically and emotionally abusive. I was supposed to stay there for 2 weeks but had to leave a week early due to my traumatizing experiences. Additionally, there was a bat living in my cabin which came out every night around 1 AM. To simplify, this camp s values are hatred, abuse and humiliation. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD HERE!

A great summer camp experience that is completely different than most traditional american camps. The activities are fun and original and younger kids love camp, and can't wait to come back after their first year. Even kids who have trouble adjusting are making plans to come back by the time the last day rolls around. If you are Russian-Orthodox Christian and are looking to make life long friends... ORPR is the place for you.

Not a good experience overall for a young child. I was bullied, and one of those instances included being tied down to my cot by a COUNSELOR. As well as that most of the people in charge were abusive. They were physically and emotionally abusive. Overall the camp seemed to be more focused on military values rather than the Russian orthodox religion. A negative experience and do not recommend.
