I just completed a truly terrific 40-hour basic mediation and conflict resolution training course offered virtually by OCHR. The course was comparatively affordable and very well designed. It had an excellent balance of live evening and weekend classes (instruction, Q&A, small group discussions, and coached case study simulations) as well as substantive and thoughtfully selected homework assignments (reading, watching videos, and comprehension / reflection assessments). The lead OCHR teacher, Lenora Forschner, was engaging, responsive, and organized and she was joined for each class by multiple other OCHR staff who offered their perspectives, feedback, and coaching. The staff, all experienced mediators, were thoughtful, caring, and energetic. This was a terrific experience and it exceeded my expectations-- highly recommend it, whether the intentions are to apply the learnings personally, via volunteer activities, and/or professionally!
Great group of staff who truly care about sharing their expertise and knowledge. They genuinely want students to gain a strong foundation on mediation and structure this program for success. Thank you all for this experience!
A complete scam this organization is worthless and staffed by incompetent people and they do not do what they should be doing for human rights it is a grotesque abomination
