I have been a patient at OCVT for the last 3 years. I was diagnosed with a severe Traumatic Brain Injury after taking a16 foot fall and landing on my head. Consequently, my visual processing abilities were greatly compromised. I was seeing double and even had to relearn how to identify the letters of the alphabet.
Dr. Larson and her staff have supported me unconditionally as I continue to navigate through the pain and trauma suffered from this extreme event.

We've been going to OCVT since our daughter was 4 (now 12). We'd been told that surgery was her only option and that patching was all that could help her up until her eye muscles were strengthened enough for the surgery. At the time, her vision in her left eye was 20/300. She has amblyopia, strabismus, a loss of binocular vision, and a host of other diagnoses. Not only has the care and vision therapy at OCVT resulted in surgery being totally unnecessary-- but even our ophthamalogist has trouble detecting any alignment issues. Additionally, her vision has improved significantly-- something we were told would not be affected by surgery. Best corrected vision in her left eye is at 20/60 now, a remarkable improvement. We continue monthly appointments at OCVT because-- even at 12 when we'd been told her vision and alignment would stop making progress after the age of 9-- we keep seeing progress.
The doctors, therapists, and office staff at OCVT are amazing. They will tailor programs to your child's interests and needs and evolve those programs as time goes on. We could not be happier that we decided to try OCVT all those years ago. Our daughter's future is-- literally and figuratively-- brighter and clearer as a result.
