It is a bit dirty ... It lacks a lot of maintenance

Yes, very beautiful and everything but leave something to be desired.
The rooms are relatively simple and no frills, the restaurant menu has practically nothing.
For less money you can get more at other hotels or Airbnb

Very nice the castle although the rooms urge them to keep them, the tv did not work and in the bathroom there was a fuguita, the super dirty armchairs

Nice place, expensive for what it offers, nice rooms. Infinifad of stairs. When they come they request rooms at reception level, unless they are climbers.

Nothing else we went to see ... you give for the refreshment to the guard and let you go to take pictures ... this place is very nice ... we met with a bad-tempered lady, otherwise very well ... they feel like to stay there ... visit it even for the photos ... hehe

Unfortunately they were left with furniture from the 80's. The place is old and neglected, to the point that it looks dirty. Its maintenance is practically zero. (Just look at the pictures)
It is a place with extraordinary potential, completely wasted.

Overall, the hotel is very nice, quite photogenic. The room is somewhat neglected but clean and quite spacious, it has a small living room and a terrace. The place is quiet, good to rest.

THE TOWELS IN THE BATHROOM ARE DAMAGED, THEY NEED TO BE CHANGED FOR THAT, NOT SO MUCH INVESTMENT IS REQUIRED.
THE BUFFET BREAKFAST, BAD FOR THE PRICE THEY HANDLE: 160 PESOS PER PERSON, THE FOOD BREAD AND WITHOUT MANY OPTIONS TO CHOOSE FROM, BUT ABOVE ALL THE SERVICE OF THE MALISTIC STAFF, LEAVES A LOT TO BE WISHED AND THEY REMOVE THE WANT TO RETURN, EVERYONE PLAINKING THE TABLES. THEY DO NOT GIVE AN OPTION TO A LA CARTE MENU. IF ANYONE ASKS ME. I WOULD NOT RETURN TO THE HOTEL. WHY THE SERVICE OF THE PERSONNEL MUST BE WELL TRAINED AS TO THE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

The hotel is beautiful in architecture, but the furniture in the rooms is ugly, ugly towels, ugly showers, very bad finishes and a high price for the room, I recommend you look for another option

The worst service I've had in a hotel in my life! For starters we were given a super dirty room with sheets that even still had certain unpleasant substances, and when we reported it took almost an hour to go clean, then at midnight the room next to me had a party and super strong scandal, not just my couple and I complained we were many guests including foreigners reporting the problem and they did absolutely nothing about it, imagine what impression it gives not only to us but to other countries that come to visit this place, although the castle is beautiful the staff is so bad that I would never come back

(English bellow) Horrible experience !, I was three nights and only one with towels, I had to ask for them and they took a lot and reluctantly, they do not clean the rooms well and I know because I found a piece of a dangerous garbage and the next day was still there. And last but not least one of the nights there was no hot water! Awful experience! We stayed there for three nights and had no towels for two nights, I had to call reception and they were rude. The cleanliness is questionable because I've found a dangerous piece of trash before it was the next day! Also I had no hot water on the third night. I will not ever come back!

This is a wonderful place to stay with very good rooms meals and views of the city

They gave us the room with a view of the reception, we could not keep the window open to let in light or air since everyone turned to see us, I also did not like that the toilet was dirty and smelled bad since the drain had no grill, the The pillows were dirty (stained), in the early morning they went to touch us to see if they had already done the cleaning and the truth was in very bad taste since we were going to rest and get up late. They did not let us use the pool and since the bar they offered was closed, we did not like the restaurant's appearance and we preferred not to eat in the place.
What we liked the most was definitely the concept of staying in a castle, the place was beautiful and the beautiful postcards that the landscape gives you.

The hotel are so especial because is an ancient real castle, with ambientation like armors, swords and trones in the many many halls, is a very big hotel, the restaurant of the hotel is so confromtable. The people who works here are kind but a little bit inpertinent.

I missed this Enchanting Castle!! It's been a long time I haven't been there. The very first time I was there it was back 1989. My mouth was dropped with amazement, how beautiful was made that Castle to a hotel. We were told by the concierge of hotel Santa Cecilia that the room occupied by us belonged to king and Queen of Spain. How trilling that was to be in a room that belonged to part of the History. I was so overwhelm by it, and couldn't stopped my tears running down my face. I loved the people, very humble and grateful. We were there for 5 days, but the time was slow and wonderful. I cherished every minutes of my days at Hotel Qastillo at that time. Love this state. Guanajuato it is so beautiful, mixture of four countries in one. Spain, Mexico, France and Germany, at least that how I saw it. Beautiful people, good food and Enchanting sights. LOVE IT

It is a real castle! It is beautiful, it has a great history. In good location of Guanajuato, only 5 minutes from downtown. It has a pool and a chapel for very intimate events. A marvel :)

The attention is good. It is a good place to spend the night, in itself, I really liked the hotel.
