Everything was shut off, unfriendly police did not provide information
Wow! Aida! Wow!
Even from the cheap seats! Experience of a lifetime.
Warning - Actually getting in there is quite an ordeal. They have gone to great lengths to prevent scalping. On the day of, first, you queue before 1pm to get a number. We were there at 12:15 and we got 50&51 after they verified us with our passports and we also got forms to register which we filled out and returned. Every attendee must be there in person. Then we came back at 4:30 and queued up again this time to get a pink slip - and again every person is validated. So by 5:00, all 150 attendees with their pink slips end up in a mob around the ticket doors and finally you go in numeric order to buy your tickets, but after your pink slip is checked along with the forms. An extremely manual process and very tedious. And of course, finally you get to buy your tickets - the cashier actually enters info off your form. And do you know what is unbelievable - the 4 or 5 people who are doing all of these procedures are all elderly! There is a lot of yelling (to be heard) and dealing with a lot of stressed out wannabe customers.
a temple in which musical functions are celebrated
excellent acoustics, which improves upwards
always very populated by groups of tourists
prices aligned with similar European theaters but perhaps I go a little for the average Italian
courtesy and hospitality unchanged over time
Very good location. We heard a great opera.
Be careful when buying tickets. If you run very cheap, you will look at the balcony. See me
I had to stand and watched. In the meantime, ticket vendors do not warn about seating arrangement and the arrival of
You can buy cheap tickets a several hours before the spectacle. It's worth it! The tickets from 11 euros have no visability so be careful.
La Scala Theater is one of the most famous opera houses in the world and dominates the square of the same name; it was inaugurated in 1778, but damaged by bombing in 1943, it was rebuilt in record time and in 1946 Arturo Toscanini directed the famous first.
The staircase is a symbolic building of Milan. The. Music you breathe with the unmissable air ...
If you can, at the end of the tour, stop by for a coffee at the Marchesino: delicious and offered at an affordable price (given the location may not be discounted and instead ..)
The theater is very beautiful and the museum very complete with a section dedicated to Callas. Please note: access to the room is only possible at certain times
Prestigious room, redone q some time ago, unfortunately to the standards of the 19th century ... Tight spaces as we find more. Too bad it ruins everything. Otherwise the spectacle of Tosca with this staging is fabulous.
From the outside inconspicuous, unfortunately it was closed when I was there
The temple of Milanese opera, great music and great tradition. An intense annual program of ballet works and concerts. It can be visited when there are activities, it offers an important musical museum.
Always a great emotion to enter the performance hall of the Scala; the museum is interesting but small and a little suffered, I expected to see more about history.
Luxury, history, and art in the same experience, one of the places you must know if you love opera!
If you want to know what Italian opera is, it can only be done here!
Very nice pity that it is not possible to go on stage during the visit or behind the scenes. (In the case of the free visit)
"LA SCALA" what else can I say ? We enjoyed our time there :)
It's a great place with a good theater museum.
If you are runing against time it's not a must must see place, but if you have some time it's a good place and worth the visit if you are interested in theater history and music.
Some days/hours the teather part its not open due the rehearsals that happen there, but you can see through a smallish glass opening.
I recommend it with a guide. Much more is appreciated
Beautiful place with amazing architecture and atmosphere.
Historic Milanese theater with a temporary exhibition of costumes worn by Maria Callas
Astonishing architecture. It feels amazing just being in there. The experience is truly beautiful and whoever visits will enjoy for sure!!
The ushers are kind and helpful. Truly a great place!
If you go there for the first time, do it well in advance, so as to have time to admire the theater, otherwise the beauty of the place will distract you from the show you went to see.
Wonderful .... Theater and elegant piece of absolute theatrical thickness.
Not as impressive as I thought. Well, you sing beautifully, but it's the same in many opera theaters. The decorations were
nice, in the end there was even a show.
However, "dress code" did not mean that some are not allowed in if they are in t-shirts or sneakers. The cards themselves were so simple. And the seller in "La Skala" shop was not polite at all.
The artistic splendor of the Scala is unfortunately not to be seen from the outside. Rather optically a gray mouse.
It is one of the most famous opera houses in the world.
Most overhyped place in milan ever, way too expensive for its actual seating quality!
Magnificent theater, spacious, exceptional service, full of culture, finesse and elegance. A wonderful night with a couple or with friends. Unique entertainment The theaters, the stages, the artists: this set unites us all to be 1 in this world and to be able to visualize real or virtual themes of our lives.
I was impressed by the beauty of this theatre. There is also a museum.
The place is nice. It's very enjoyable for people that pay a lot, but cheap seats is as if not going cause you cannot see a thing, so think twice before you consider the amount you spend.
It is fascinating not to visit it, it is recommended to visit the museum at least
The outside of the theater doesn't deserve much ... The inside is gorgeous. It is one of the most important opera houses in the world.
If you can see from outside, and it has no appeal, from what I see in photos the grace is to enter, but when I went there was no possibility of visiting. Get advice before going.
Beautiful place, talented singers and nice staging. Worth going even just for a short detour! Recommend (bucket list: check).
Any outside. Lower pretty. But hey, if you do not have the physique of a jockey the seats become a torture. If you are not in the first row of balconies you do not see anything. All in all very good sound but not see anything so much be in his living room with a good stereo.
Grandiose, amazing theater.
An interesting audio guide can be found in the application on the phone.
Looks quite nice, but I saw it only from the outside at night though
Review of the museum: The museum was quite interesting, with lots of artefacts from past performances. The museum is quite small, and might not be worth the full entrance cost.
An interesting museum & opera as well as a range of old instruments enjoyable for everyone.
