Amazing spaces around the plant just east along the water, beaches, trails and fall beauty. We really enjoyed our walks on the trails and time spent along the water and beach. Great photography areas. And west of the plant one of the most amazing conservation areas. Petticoat Creek Conservation Area.
My favorite thing about Pickering is that my power goes out more than any place I've ever lived and yet I live close enough to the power plant to get special radiation pills.
Not the plants fault I'm sure, just ironic. Please remember to vent the radioactive gas and don't explode us.

Anyone living in the blast radius should be concerned
Interesting building from afar to look at, with nice walking paths passing close by to the building and going through some nice dog friendly fields. All made for good walking. There is also a nice boardwalk along the waterfront. There has been some winter damage to the walkway, hopefully it will be repaired fast. Enjoy this find if the weather ever permits.
Nuclear power is the cleanest, safest and most reliable option we have. Continue to invest and upgrade this plant!

Lots of improvements have been made, very scenic with some good food in the area
Parking can be tricky though
Stop polluting our drinking water and dumping hazardous waste in lake Ontario.
