I come here every time I am visiting decorah as we do not have a brick-and-mortar co-op in Des Moines. I really enjoy the selection of health food as well as the salad bar and other food options available.
They have a great selection of Organic foods. I believe they are the only store in Decorah that does sell organic items. only downfall is they are a bit on the pricey end. The excellent customer service and friendly staff help offset the higher prices.
Kind of a mom and pops. Absolutely live it. You find what you need fast at great prices and then back on your way
The Oneota Community Coop is a cornerstone of our community and one of my favorite things about Decorah. I love the focus on supporting the local food economy, organic and community.
The epitome of your friendly neighborhood co-op. If they don't have it in store, they are always happy to try and order it especially for you. In the summer and warmer months, the community farmers market is located in the parking lot behind the building. There is seating outside so you can easily buy your groceries or lunch and enjoy them outside next to the infamous Irene mural!
A bit too pricy and the unexpected increase in price without a membership was off-putting. However, the quality of the food compensates for some of the hassle of the prices.
Staff are helpful, lots of interesting options and things to look at. Quality supplies. Community friendly.

Beware of dirty dishes. I ate there repeatedly over a course of several months, and many times, observed dirty plates, bowls, cups and utensils. I brought this up to staff and the GM over and over, and eventually felt the need to report the unsanitary conditions to the Iowa Board of Health, after doing so I was personally attacked by the GM. So just look REAL close at the plates, bowls, cups and utensils you use when you go there! I simply wont eat there (or shop there) again.
Favorite place to grocery shop in town. Local and organic food with options for vegan and gluten free diets. Full coffee bar and hot and cold food in the cafe.
Its amazing that a town the size of Decorah can support a place like this. Makes me want to move here. I realize its a college town, but its small college town.

Could have spent all day shopping natural health products. Knowledge able staff. Little pricey. Nice clean store
Excellent selection. Only downside was that they didn't have any Tylenol, which I needed at the time. All the other pharmacies and stores in the area were closed due to it being Sunday.
