My favorite place to go every time I was in Portland. I make a point to stop here and take my daughters to see all of the wonderful exhibits. Make sure to see what they re doing for their special exhibit and pay the extra money. It s worth it.

We love our Pacific Science Center here in Seattle, but OMSI has been a family favorite since the 1960's. I hadn't been to the 'new' location yet, and we were coming back from an EPIC family trip to Disneyland, and had a little time to spare on Saturday... so we went for it.
It was a VERY GOOD DECISION!
The hands on area was fun for all nine us, 2 1/2 to 60 years old. Live experiments, puzzles, a cardboard construction room with all the tools, build a 'keystones arch', earthquake tables, build a paper bridge that has to hold a stack of blocks... and so much more. That was just the first room!
We had to cut the fun short, but we will be returning, soon.
Just go. It's worth it.

As usual it was great! Portland needs more attractions. The only gripe was how crowded it always is... we had to wait 30 min in line. That's not a big deal for adults and teens but with a toddler it's too long to wait. I have no idea how they could fix that, but it was great inside! It's an excellent value. I'd like it better if they restricted the number of adults in the 6 and under area.

To the people who decided to stand in a doorway or in front of an exhibit glued to your phone - we all hate you, please don't come.

I went with a large group of children and all of them had fun. The adults were interested in the exhibits and the staff was friendly. The food court also has great food at affordable prices. I highly recommend for families.

We so love this museum! They have a featured exhibit that changes every so often. There are a number of brain teasers/puzzles that are good hands-on fun. My kids loved this place when they were little and still enjoy it at ages 11 and 14.

Cool, but we hit field trip season, so a LOT of kids. There wasn't a whole lot to do without paying a bunch. The exhibits I did go to were really cool, especially the biology one. I didn't see very many staff members around checking on things, making sure everything was okay, which isn't very reasssuring.

I really love visiting this museum, there are so many different exhibits and they keep bringing new things all the time. Also the employees and volunteers are really friendly and helpful. Great pizza too.

Went here with parents and brothers. We had a pretty good time. We are all over 18, and some things were a little more targeted to younger people but other things were still fun to do and look at. We left the Lazer show in the planetarium because it wasn't for us. The submarine was neat and my brothers' favorite part. A nice afternoon together.

This was an amazing spot to take the kids. We spent over 4 hours here and were dragging them out. We could have spent more time. The submarine tour was very cool, and the robot exhibit was another hi-light. A must stop spot in Portland.

We love OMSI. As grandparents we always buy a membership for us and all the grand children are put on it. Thus any of our grandchildren can go as a member and take their parents as a guest. We loved the new exhibit on king Tut. We enjoyed seeing are one of the omni Max movies. Having a membership is the only way to go because then you can just stop whenever you want and spend a little while. I love their gift store too.

Fun and educational. Always clean and the volunteers and staff are frendly and fun. The King Tut exhibit was worth the visit. Have visited many times and am pleased with OMSI Everytime. The parking is always easy and convenient. So much to see and learn. The Submarine tour is great, planetarium entertaining and the Imax amazing.

I probably should have dug deeper into other reviews. This science center is definitely YOUNG children centric. We took our two teenagers, who both LOVE science, while trying to kill a few hours while in Portland area. They were bored, we were bored. Very disappointed. although the Africa movie we saw was phenomenal.

I love love love this place. Omsi after dark is the last Wednesday every month, and it is for adults only. This is awesome because, as an adult, it is hard to get the museum experience with kids running around

It was awesome that OMSI was safely open during COVID. We brought our 3 year kid to the Human Body Exhibit (which required an appointment) and he loved it! It was a welcome respite from the stay-at-home activities that have marked the last six months. Go OMSI!

I've loved OMSI since I was a kid and I'm glad I can share my love of science and this museum with my daughter. Great exhibits that change several times a year. One of our favorite places to go and spend a day.

There are so many things to do and see and touch, you definitely need a full day to take advantage of this amazing place! My family and I visited on Easter Sunday which was also the $2 Sunday. It was a blast!!

The Robot Revolution exhibit was very well done. All the staff were helpful/knowledgeable. Especially the employee at the gift store. Can't wait to check out Andy & Bax on his recommendation.

We were visiting the area and this place had good reviews. We usually like science/history museums so we decided to check it out. We were very disappointed. There are lots of activities if you have kids with you, but as adults we did not enjoy ourselves. We would definitely not go back.

Great for kids, relatively informational, as well as interactive. I do wish more of the exhibits were more fully explained, but I don't think the museum is aimed at adults. If we'd come with kids, it would have been a treat.

The regular exhibits on first floor is on par with science museums in other cities. The recent special exhibit of King Tut is well organized. The regular outdoor exhibit of submarine is uniquely cool, and its staff actually worked on sub before! Very knowledgeable!

General admission portion is incredibly overpriced (see it all in under an hour) and mainly a playground for under 10s. Be prepared to be nickel and dimed as almost everything interesting costs extra. Most letdown I've been by a "museum" in a long time. However, the submarine tour was very interesting and more than worth its separate price.

Always a great family experience. From the 80s when my own children were growing up. Until now as I take my grandkids, always improving and the learning experience together is why we have a family membership
