Went here for a Fieldprint appointment, everyone was polite and the store enforces mask policy. Fingerprinting was done in less than 10 minutes. Parking was easy, either in front of the store or across the street at Safeway. Would recommend.

Classic photo store. I'm old enough to remember what photo shops were like before Amazon existed and people still shot film and this store, while not as well-stocked or as large as I remember from those days, still has the important parts: a knowledgeable staff, good film processing, used cameras, and a friendly atmosphere. I regret the two years I've lived in Bellevue without knowing it's here.

Privately owned photo shop with a huge variety of everything you need for your photography. High quality and fast film development (and the only place that does it on the east side of lake Washington). Also a nice collection of affordable film that you can t find anywhere else. This is my go-to store for all things photo!

Came here for Chinese passport photo. Very friendly and professional staff, especially Henry. They use pro devices and lighting. They understand the exact photo requirement very well that you dont need to explain. In fact, Henry told me that they do more Chinese passport photos than US ones :) Got soft copy as well. 10X better than walgreens with similar price.

I have been to Omega Photo three times in all. The first time was a couple of years ago looking for a remote control for my Nikon d70, the staff was curt and sold me a generic piece of junk about twice the price you can find online with the battery compartment popping open all the time.

The second experience was about a month ago looking for a BlackRapid Strap for my Nikon d7100, I did my research online and was looking to give the store another chance (buying local and all), the vendor (John I believe) didn't quite know the product line but tried to be somewhat friendly.

Today I went back to purchase a BlackRapid tripod plate fastener to avoid having to take the default fastener on-and-off. Again did my research online but wasn't sure if the screw would fit my tripod plate and went back to Omega Photo to hopefully make a purchase. John was as unfriendly as it gets, no smile, short and no willingness whatsoever to see if the screw would fit by taking it out of the package. I understand that it would have been only a $17.95 purchase but it is not like the store was overwhelm with customers (I was the only one).

We keep hearing that poor local brick-and-mortar stores are dying because of unfair competition from large online retailers. Well, a welcoming and helpful staff would be a good differentiator to compete with these evil conglomerates. Unfortunately this is lacking at Omega Photo.

I will still continue to shop local but on Amazon.

Found rolls of old film and film canisters. They were able to devlop quickly and I was pleased with quality. They referred me to only place that prints pictures from film canister rolls. All were friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely go back as I have a lot of old negatives and slides that I need to process.

Extremely pleased with turnaround time for film development; so far the best Ive found in Bellevue/ Seattle area. Staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Spent like 10-15 minutes just chatting with (I believe it was Steve) about gear. Very pleasant experience indeed.

The staff here is wonderful. Mr Richard, in particular was very helpful. They are very knowledgeable and will help you out even if it's not related to what you are buying. The store has a nice collection of used film cameras, lenses, and digital camera gear. I haven't used their photo lab services but will surely visit in case I need anything. I've had good experiences at cameratechs Ballard and am happy a good camera store is here in Bellevue.

Ordinary shop with super expensive prices Nothing extraordinary for the service that is provided (which is just taking a photo) vs the price that's charged.. I would suggest going to places in Seattle or Walgreens for photo services..

Excellent service and superior quality. Did an amazing job with a last minute oversize print and even offered to put it in the frame I brought in. Prices for prints may be a bit more than a place like Walgreens, but you get what you pay for. If your printing something important and want to make sure it is done right, I would recommend Omega Photo.

Never before have I had such a consistently terrible experience at a camera store. I have developed 5 rolls of film, both color and black and white and have not ONCE received a roll that was free of defects as a result of their TERRIBLE development work. Scratches, overdevelopment, light bleeds, horizontal lines, moisture damage, you name it they've done it to my work. This was critical work that I needed to have developed well and they have let me down time and time again. DO NOT DEVELOP FILM HERE. Period. Ever. Make the trip to Panda Photo in Seattle, they don't destroy the work you've created. They value it.m

I was referred to this place by a store in Seattle. Spoke to a representative over the phone and described to him the issues I had been having with my SLR. Apparently the settings in my camera had been switched on accident and ended up shooting RAW images and was having trouble in uploading them to my computer. The person was so courteous and helpful and told me to come in and said that the owner could fix my problem.
I dropped by and showed them what was happening and the owner took my camera and after about fifteen minutes, I had my pictures in my camera card. I could tell that he really understood customers' needs and delivered it very professionally.
I'm very grateful to Omega Photo for their expertise, courteous and professionalism. I will recommend this store to anyone looking for camera products, digital questions, etc.

If you want to buy a camera from a photographer who knows his s%*/, shop here. As a commercial photographer I loathe camera salesmen - the pitch, the tactics, and angle and all that BS. Sometimes I just want a purchase to be as transparent as my work is - Omega is that gap. Granted the prices are not the cheapest, but I know I can always return without getting a huge restocking fee or return shipment cost (B&H), and I know there is no bait and switch with brutal or harshly used gear with vague product descriptors (Amazon and Ebay). I'm proud to pay more here because each time I'm reminded of a forgotten lesson or I learn something new (either about a product or shooting method). Any confident photographer would not regret shopping here. Cheapskates and photogs would and should stick to Amazon and model mayhem for thier gear and inspiration ;)

I took an old roll of film to be processed. Omega said they would try to develop the film, but Omega wasn't sure if they could. They called a few days later saying they tried, but weren't successful. When I picked up the roll of film, Omega gave me a reference to send the film. My experience was excellent and I'd go to them again.

Friendly people and great customer service! Went to Omega Photo to get passport photos. They did a fantastic job with the photos. It just so happened that later that day I needed jpeg file of the same passport photos - folks at Omega took the jpeg that they still had on camera, processed it to US Passport Photo specifications and emailed it to me for free!

I have seen this store listed in my previous searches. But, unfortunately hadn't been able to check them out due to time constraints. But, today was different had the time to come by and figured id check out some of Bellevue's Camera stores. Considering I shoot up here for a comedy show I never know just what I may need. Came in and there's a little ding ding to announce the entrance and exit of a customer. I think I browsed the store for 30-40 minutes before I left. I went down the right side of the store from the front and back up the left side from the entrance. Each and every employee didn't bother to greet me or acknowledge my prescence 2 different employees walked right in front of me while I was checking out the section next to the D E S section where the first tall slim guy went into. Another older overweight employee just walked right past me while heading towards the back as the first guy did. I saw their little shooting area in the back, took the timed to examine the software with the green screen backdrop, and then the normal backdrops without anything else to them. Saw a nice little photo box that was over in that area as well. Looked over some of the lenses and flashes that I could as I was trying to look around the female employee who had the canon camera on the counter. Hi, I don't know if they have any Metz flashes there that'd fit my own Canon. Interesting pin hole cameras by the counter as well. I guess I'll have to google what those are about since the staff totally ignored me. I did happen to find stuff on the 2012 canon workshops, Honphoto, think tank photo, nice looking winter spring catalog from Canon by the way. Some literature on the sony dsc-tx9 and the dsc-wx5. And a catalog for Lensbaby. No, I can't tell you if they actually have any of them in stock either. But, I will take the time to thank Sean over at Camera's West over on 20th near 140th. He showed me a few things on the wide angles and gave me some good info Vivitar Flashes. I'm off to go check out Tall's Camera since I still have time. I don't think Omega's interested in my business.

I used to print the passport photos in your store and you did it for me for 1.10$ a month before that. But now you say it is 17$. So I had to create a 5x7 image which contains six 2x2 photos which is essentially the same but now you save 15$. This is not the service you expect to get.

Been coming to Omega photo for around a year now to get my film developed. I can confidently say that these guys have the fastest turn around time in Seattle with film! Steve and John both work their butts off all day but are still so kind to me every time I come in. Hats off to the Omega team for helping me pursue my passion.

The best place to get your film developed in Seattle! Not only is their work fantastic and FAST (I get my photos back within hours sometimes) and the prices are reasonable, but their customer service is incredible. They are extremely knowledgeable without speaking down to you. They answer your questions about different film stock and other products in a way that is easy to understand. I was recommended this place actually by Glazier s Cameras in downtown Seattle and they are truly the best.

WOW WHAT SERVICE.....I needed to get my Canadian Citizenship Card as i lost it in Seattle and pictures taken for a new ID so i called around to several places to fine the right place that was approved by the Canadian consulate and the Canadian Immigration to take my pictures. I am so glad and happy i chose Omega Photo that is was worth the 2 hour drive from Des Moines,WA to Bellevue and back.

When i walked in i was greeted by a very pleasant and courteous young man and i immediately felt at ease after i told him that i needed Canadian citizenship pics taken. This young man and i wish i had asked him his name knew his stuff and took my pics then knew exactly what he was doing and had me out in less then 15 mins.

I also decided to get 2 passport pics and he said we can use the same pics but only 1 passport pic needed to be signed and said that it would be an additional $7 only. If i hadn't thought of it i would have had to gone back to them to get passport pics and would have had to pay them another $30. It was a great experience since this is my 2nd application was rejected cause the pics were not Canadian Citizenship approved. Great organized professional place and easy access and parking also. I would have given them 99 stars if i could. Thanx Omega Photos.

Not everything about this photo place is terrible,...

Not everything about this photo place is terrible, but I had a pretty upsetting experience today. I went in to purchase a box of multigrade Ilford fiber based paper, I accidentally grabed the very similar looking multigrade RC paper by mistake. I realized that I bought the wrong $97.00 box of paper about an hour after I bought it and thought that maybe I could just get it exchanged since I bought it that day only a few hours prior. I know that it's bad practice to accept returns on photo sensitive materials, but I had literally just bought it and thought it wouldn't be that big of an issue since I hadn't even opened the box at all. When I took the box back with the receipt, this older man awkwardly walks up to me as I'm looking for the right paper to exchange it with, turns out they don't even have the right paper in stock. The man proceeds to lecture me about the photo sensitive materials in a VERY condescending way and only agrees to an exchange but grabs the fiber paper that I don't need and tells me very rudely that this is a one time thing and that I should have been more careful, then proceeds to strong arm me into buying the other box which isn't even what I want. I ended up paying an extra $33 for the wrong paper, leaving very upset and generally pissed off that I just spent a total of $130 on a useless box of paper that I can't even return or exchange. I would much rather buy from an online source and pay extra shipping costs just to avoid having to ever enter that store again, it was a very expensive mistake that I never want to make again.

Wish we could give this place a 10! My fiance and I had to bring his camera here because there was a little squiggle that kept appearing in pictures. Even though we live about an hour and a half away, we decided to make the trek based on Omega's great reviews, bypassing a shop that was even closer because their customer service seemed well below par. Not only did they not charge for the service of removing the offending fuzz-ball, they were able to show us how to remedy the situation, should it happen in the future. Super friendly staff, easy access (free) parking and we even got some suggestions for filters for the lens. Awesome overall experience!

Came in to buy a lens cap because I lost mine to the river gods. Again. As I was being helped, an older gentleman with a beard came and said Here, take one of these as well. It was a lens cap leash. I laughed and said I probably should. And he said No charge. Now you won t ever have to pay me a bunch of money for a piece of plastic again.
Just lovely. A lovely way to be treated at a store.

If you're looking for friendly professionals to take your US or international (especially Canada and Netherlands) passport photos, look no further. Don't expect to pay Costco prices here, but for a few bucks more, you've got a real professional to get it done. They even help take passport photos for babies who are still in their baby carrier.

I went in for passport photos yesterday. From entering the store to leaving with my photos, I spent under 10 minutes. After my photo was taken the image was shown to me on the digital camera screen. I was offered the option to re-take if I wanted, which was nice.

As far as the pricing goes, it is available on their website. Many stores hide their pricing, so I appreciate this. I was also given the price in-store (voluntarily) prior to taking the shot. So I don't think the 1-star review below (not the service you expect) is fair to Omega. It has nothing to do with service - which was fantastic from start to finish, BTW. If you don't like the price you can go somewhere else, but I would recommend spending your $$ here.
