I used to think it was overpriced but considering the prices haven't changed in 10 years now the place is a deal? Tasty Mediterranean flavors with dishes HEAVY with pita. IT'S BYOB, AND USUALLY A WAIT AND TOUGH TO GET TABLES.

Great place to eat. Reasonable prices, casual atmosphere. The tomatoes with feta cheese are the best on the island. Can't go wrong with the Lamb Sharma, I eat this almost every time I go. No table service, pick up your own food, probably what keeps the pricing down.

Food is always consistent here. Been coming here for years. Lamb shank on Wednesdays are delicious, along with the lasagna on fridays. You just have to call and reserve before it's all gone though. Highly recommend this place for a casual dinner. BYOB.

Greek food? Mediterranean cuisine. Payment is cash only. BYOB (You can bring your own liquor) Next to a liquor store/wine store, you can buy it there. Only the glass fee will be charged.
There are many healthy dishes such as salads made from fresh vegetables and hams made from chickpeas. As the seasoning uses vinegar and acid, there are quite a few sour ones. If you like parsley, please try a table salad! Delicious Then, Grape Wrapped in leaves and rice inside, Dolmas? is also recommended (sour). Falafel looks like meatballs but is healthy because it is made of vegetables and beans. You can choose a meal set from lamb meat , fish, chicken, etc. and it comes with side salad and pita (bread). Baclava (dessert made by stacking pies) is also delicious! They are made from fresh ingredients, and they are made to order, and the prices are reasonable. If you come to Kahala Mall, I recommend this place. Open from 5pm in the evening.

Food was delicious, we had hummus, lamb souvlaki and mussel ceviche. They were quite busy, which is a good thing, however didn't take credit cards which was an inconvenience. The man who took my order was very pleasant and in contrast the man who took my money was grumpy. Maybe it was the pressure of being so busy.

This place has been super popular for a very long time now. The food is great and they also own a wine and cheese shop next door. So you can go ahead and buy a bottle and then bring it over and drink it while you dine on delicious Mediterranean food. Great for a couple people, though you should get there early because it gets very crowded and hard to find a table. I enjoy it, my family enjoys it, and I will be back with more people

Island Greek Food at its Best! Shwarma Anyone? How about another Falafel? It doesn't hurt to have Oliver's next door to get your hands on some Wine. Or, pick up some necessities to do Greek at home. They're open 5-9, CASH ONLY.

This place is a Kahala institution. Opens at 5 and fills up to capacity until 10. Order your food at the counter and then angle for a table and hopefully you ll get one by the time your food is ready. It can fell chaotic but once you ve sat down fee free to stay as long as you like! Everyone else does! BYOB, there is a wine shop conveniently next door.. Cash or check only. Pro tip: you order your food and then you pay when your main course is ready at the counter. Very confusing until you get the hang of it.

It was the first of the Greek! May shop atmosphere, we had on the terrace seat. Hummus was my first experience, but it was very delicious! At a later date, it was not delicious I ate back to Japan ...
Sand of deer meat? It was also satisfied with the love spicy taste!
The clerk said that the clerk was unfriendly in the reviews of other people, but it wasn't that kind of thing, and it felt good. I wonder if by human?
Yoreru to Kahala Mall, be good also to lunch

This is just a great place with great Greek/Mediterranean food and it's very affordable. The Baklava is freshly made and it's a Byob place. A store that sells beer and wine is located right next door.

Great food. Not much ambiance. Outdoor seating on plastic chairs. The charge 50 cents for tap water which is a littke chincy. Also cash only which is also a hassle. Also read the check carefully. Last time i got over charged substantially.

Olive Tree Cafe is solidly in my top 4 favorite re...

Olive Tree Cafe is solidly in my top 4 favorite restaurants on Oahu. Moved here from NY as a college kid, and this place provided a lifeline to Greek/Mediterranean flavors atypical of Hawaii's food scene. Fast forward to 2020 - the Olive Tree is a vital part of my family's rotation and conveniently, we live up the street. First and foremost the food is excellent. Vibrant flavors, and the quality is so consistent that I've literally never had an order get messed up or taste differently than the last time, EVER, in like 14 years of coming here. When the cravings hit, as they do every 3-4 weeks, our order is always the same: avgolemono soup, an order of half hummus-half babaganoush with extra pita bread, tabbouleh salad, mussels, and one chicken souvlaki for each person bc no one likes to share. The yeagantes, Greek caviar, ouzomisu, and baklava make their way in too here and there, as does the Wednesday special - lamb shank with orzo. (Omg I'm getting hungry typing this review) The charm of this place is in the vibe. It's a really chill, casual, neighborhood spot. It's BYOB, and it's first come, first served style seating inside and on the patio (although here and there you'll encounter newbies who don't know "the system" LOL). Also there is a store next door that sells wine and gelato. I've always wondered why the Olive Tree doesn't expand into a bigger space but I know I'd be heartbroken if it did and the vibe changed or the quality wasn't the same. Love seeing the familiar faces who work there and put so much heart into the place! 5 enthusiastic stars!

Very rich Greek food. Attention: they only receive cash !!! I made the order to take away, chicken souvlaki, and the girl who attends told me that in 15 minutes I was going to be there, they were going to call me and I could only pay there. He never told me beforehand that they don't receive a credit card. Thank God, a very kind man, John, heard what happened to me and offered to pay for my plate. No fool without luck, they say ...

Had the chicken saffron special per recommendation from the staff, and I devoured it before I could take photos of the beautiful stew. It came with rice, pita, and a side salad, and I m really excited to try the other items on the menu. Restaurant only takes cash.

Good food, friendly service, we went at a busy time and sat at a wobbly table near the food pick up line. It could have been a better experience at a different table. Choice of indoor or outdoor seating.

Super busy and the customer service lacks when they don't have enough help. This place has always attracted a large crowd and very popular. There is always a few people already waiting for the doors to open before the actual opening time. The food is decent but I don't feel that the service is worthy of fighting the crowds. Parking in the small lot is extremely limited to only a few cars which they share with Subway and some other shops. The service is counter only and you first approach the front and place your order. They take your order and ask you to take a seat or wait. Once the order is ready, they call your name at which time you pick up and settle the charges.

best Mediterranean food in the area. been here 4 times. always same great quality/tastes. My friends love the lemon soup. I am a falafel kinda guy. Dinner time for a table is near impossible. But its BYOB so people tend to relax and chill with friends.

Greek Marina in Hawai Kai is atrocious, hideous, terrible. Can't find the exact word for that place.

The things it has going for it is the vibe-party feel and simple solid delicious time tested food, the things going against is the chaos before the food and the ever rising price. Cash and check no credit card, but they will be profitable no matter what they charge due to location and other factors. I would not be surprised to see 18$ -20$for a souvlaki in the future...The little shop by the same owner is next door has pita bread and other things Greek for sale.

Genuine, casual dining with phenomenal service and great prices. Seasoning is gentle so the natural flavor of the ingredients really comes through. Great for those that typically find restaurants in Hawaii to be too salty. The salads and vegetables in each entree marry well with their main dish and there is a spread of very well priced appetizers available for tons of variability between different visits. Be prepared with cash because they do not accept cards or mobile payment. A nice wine shop next door compliments the BYOB policy here at Olive Tree Cafe. Great place for impromptu meals because the food comes out quickly and there is a good amount of parking available.
