Lovely place to flower shop in Old Town. I get our window boxes here every spring and most of the time they last all summer (I don't have a super green thumb, so its not the flowers fault!) It's so relaxing to walk through their green house and I always stop to smell the flowers!

With the recent closing of a new leaf it saddens me that this is what the neighborhood has left. The poor customer-service and lack of consistency is alarming. How they plan on running a successful business will be a sight to see.

They do a good job here at Old Town Garden. It caters to the Old Town crowd with prices to match it but if you opt for the do it yourself option you can save a few dollars. Convenient location and friendly staff makes Old Town Garden a good go to when doing your spring planting. They have seasonal items for Halloween and Thanksgiving and do Christmas Trees and Wreaths during the holidays as well.

I just called to try and order a couple of plants ...

I just called to try and order a couple of plants for pick up. I started the call by asking if it was possible to order over the phone to limit in person interactions and was told yes. I asked for Impatiens and the woman on the phone tersly responded that she only had limited colors. I asked which colors and she said "Orange". it was a somewhat odd interaction and seemed like she was annoyed that I asked. I followed up to ask about the size of the planter container. The next question I asked was if they had Million Bells, and she audibly huphed and said " you know what, this isn't going to work, I can't take your order over the phone I have other stuff to do". All it all it was very odd because I started the interaction by asking if I could order over the phone. The rudeness of the response and subsequent dismissal was surprising given that I would have been willing to order online (not available) or called another time if now was a good time but was told it was ok. I'm disappointed because I'd rather purchase from local businesses but I've had better experiences and more selection at Home Depot. It also was upsetting because while I was polite and up front about my request the tone of the call was so rude I was taken aback. I guess it's back to big box stores.
