I loved this course! It was so stunning. The views from every hole are amazing. It was a difficult course especially being our first time playing it. With a number of blind shots it was nice having the local knowledge from the caddies.
Standing on the tee boxes looking at the challenge ahead of you is a bit more comforting with the views of Old Head. Visually, golf courses don't get much better than this and the course was in perfect condition. Highly recommend to anyone.
The Old Head Golf Links is exceptional! We had a fantastic caddy Terry who carried both our bags and oh boy, my bag weighs a tonne! Terry's line reading is just spot-on and you really have to trust your caddy on this, even though he tells you to smash your ball towards the water, as the winds will bring it back onto the right of the fairways!
The course is picturesque and it's easy to get distracted by the stunning views! Not quite your typical links course but still very beautiful. Service and food at the Suites are amazing! And the rooms all have a breathtaking view of the 18th green and the lighthouse. BUT there's only 15 suites! Definitely worth the stay to get the full experience! We'd definitely be back, only this time, we'd stay longer!
We had lunch at the restaurant. The food was excellent quality, and the portions generous. Service was first rate too. It's not cheap, but definitely worthwhile for a special occasion.
This course is just breathtaking and blessed with some of the most scenic views. The moment you arrive at the gates you know it is something special. The course is in pristine condition, some of the fastest greens to play on, if you get a chance to tick this of your bucket list courses, jump all over it ,you will not be disappointed. It has the wow factor.
An absolute fabulous golf course in Kinsale. I didn't play golf myself but my husband and 3 others did & they were amazed by the course, said it's one of the best they've played. Myself and a friend waited in the clubhouse and the view from the patio area was just beautiful. The drive up to the clubhouse is also breath taking with some spectacular views! We had lunch once the lads had finished playing, food was delicious and I must mention our waiter Paul who was extremely friendly, a gentleman.
Picked a very fortunate day with the weather, but the views from the restaurant would be stunning any day. Food was remarkably reasonable for such a prestigious establishment, and my steak was cooked to perfection. Can't comment on the course, as I didn't play, but the views are stunning.
Amazing and breathtaking views one golf course for the bucket list. Very friendly staff and the rooms are large and very beautiful. Not to forget the Breakfast and Dinning is brilliant.
