The prices are too expensive, ONE BOTTLE OF WATER COSTS 94 Dominican pesos, that is 6 times the price of the market, imagine the other products, the food is horrible, the shows are good. The people who work there generally provide good service
It's a beautiful place to go with the family the kids will love the animal's show and the snorkelling.
Well worth the half day visit. Staff friendly. They charge tourists twice as much as locals, I think that is unfair, but I get it. Since I live here, I would go much more often, but for the price, only worth one visit. The lunch included is all your basics, you have to pay to have a pop, expensive. The animal shows are almost every hour in a rotation so you can see all of them. They only last half an hour or so. Bring lots of cash if you want to swim with the dolphins or sharks.

The shows were enjoyable, staff was friendly, and kids enjoyed swimming pools plus snorkeling.
I wanted to visit the establishment, I did it and they did not disappoint me, excellent service, very good atmosphere I will return as soon as you can
My favorite stop on my cruise! On my 50th birthday I played with Jefe the gorgeous sea lion, fed Luna the dolphin, and swam with sharks. The guides are knowledgeable and friendly. Loved it and already planning a trip back!

The best of several worlds. My family and I really enjoyed the man made lagoon and pool options as well as exploring the wildlife. It was the perfect leisure excursion and at a reasonable price.
The food is not very good, nor varied. They should announce by loudspeakers when the Shows begin. They have spaces available to place a larger and more comfortable pool.

The "security" here is reminiscent of a maximum security Turkish Prison. They are up your butt for the smallest reasons and are quite obnoxious and overbearing. The security staff everywhere in the D.R. are becoming control freak dictators, just like the rest of the Western world--- AND IT IS NOT***** A good thing.
People are fully capable of making up their own minds, people are fully capable of reading signs, people are fully capable le of making their own choices. NOBODY NEEDS SOME CONTROL FREAK DICTATOR rent a cop security guard to dictate my every freaking movement to me. To be yelled at and threatened for LOOKING at the exit door and to be falsely accused of trying to enter it (which I was not) is not worth 3 moronic bored workers getting excited over. THEY NEED TO NOT JUMP TO CONCLUSIONS AND NOT ASSume every visitor that comes here is as dumb as a bag of rocks... Because this is, in fact, what they think of the average American (But not of Canadians or Europeans).
This part of the D.R. is going downhill..... 1) because of laziness and incompetence and 2) because of the totalitarian/dictator-like ways of the VIOLENT "security" force here at Ocean world and at the LHVC resorts NOW. THIS IS COMING FROM A SHAREHOLDER/white band/CC member.

We visit here each and every time that we hit Puerto Plata, Domincan Republic and we love it every time -- since, what? 2010!? It is a wonderful place to take kids, to explore, get to know some quite interesting sea creatures -- let them get to know you!!!
They didn't want to let us in as a group and we missed the dolphin show. To make matters worse they do not let you enter food or drink to buy it from them. At 6 they close and the shows the truth that leave much to be desired
Swimming with dolphins is magical, indescribable. Take the supplement with the coach and the dolphin privately. To do in a lifetime!
It looks small from the out side. But their is plenty to do inside. The people was super friendly. The shows was amazing. And the view worth the admission

I went to visit Ocean park on 5/9/18; the experience was great... They charged me 1,600 pesos per person and 1,400. for the kids TO GET IN TO THE PARK. However, i requested to swim with the dolphins and the price was WAY to much; however, they gave another offer which was to spend 1/2 hour with a child per one adult to feed and take pictures with the dolphins. THEY ROBBED ME. THEY PUT ME IN WITH ANOTHER PARTY OF ANOTHER ADULT AND A CHILD AND CHARGED ME THE SAME 2,500.00 PESOS. and on top of that the trainer requested to be tipped. THEY NUMBERS THAT APPEARS ON THERE WEB PAGE ARE ALL OUT OF SERVICE. THEY ALSO CHARGED $80.00 FOR HORRIBLE PICTURES . THEY SHOULD BE SHAME OF HOW THEY ROB YOU. HIGHLY UPSET!!!!
Fun place but not huge. Great for a half day or cruise stop trip. Snorkle tank is a great thing for first time snorklers. Watch out if asked to participate in the show, the trainers ask for a donation in return.

An incredible adventure, I hope to repeat it very soon, especially taking the children of Barahona to this wonderful park. Pity that we have so far and the cost ... well, it is out of our reach. But the experience is wonderful and for the whole family.

A great family experience. Overall fairly costly, but an experience that will be remembered. The food in the buffet is below average, and if you buy a package, all drinks are extra. The attractions are well maintained and the staff are very friendly.
Very nice experience although very expensive, food included but for the price of all the services should be open buffet the whole day. dont try to take an extra picture from the park with lions or dolphins they are very expensive. the artificial beach inside it's very bad. the pool very deep and small. other than that the activities very spectacular

Ask for extra cause most of the good stuff is not added.
Prepare to make lines when you arrive, even if you reserve will make the same line as the ones that buy the ticket in place.
Should have a pre-check-in to fill the visitor info prior to arrive to the place.
Changing rooms doesn't have water, so in order to take the salt water you have to go out of the changing room.

An all-round successful day. We were picked up at the hotel. The transfer is cheap. At the checkout everything went quickly. We had booked the Royal Dolphin. It was a dream. The staff is very friendly. The trainers are great too. Swimming with the dolphins was a great experience. The pools are large. You can see that the animals are doing well. The various shows are also worth seeing. Later we had the Shark Encounter. Getting in touch with these animals was also a unique experience. It was a wonderful day.

The Dolphin Swim was amazing but understand that younger kids (probably 8 and under) will not have the strength to do this so know this before you register.
It is a place where we can enjoy the intelligent nature of non-human animals
