Ocean World Adventure Park, Marina & Casino Review

I love the park and the restaurants they have, the marina is beautiful and they have very good service, the employees are very attentive.

Excellent - even if a bit pricey - way to spend a day. The dolphin swim is indeed once in a lifetime experience.

A very nice surprise was birds section. A fantastic way to directly interact with exotic birds, very nice supervisors. Make sure you give them tip (carry $1 / $5 / $10 bills with you).

The only drawback was the price - aprox $600 for a family of four (2 adults + 2 children under 13). Also the fact that for large animal interaction (dolphin swim) you are pretty much forced to buy their photo package, an.additional $100.

However, if you can afford it, go for it. Really worth the memories

OceanWorld is a animal encounter place, here you can enjoy a wildlife park full of animals, dolphins, sea lions, parrots, a lot of colorful birds and water areas for young children to enjoy. The park is wonderful, with many attractions that will be a delight for all your family members, the food is good, could be better, but for the price is acceptable. The whole experience is out of this world, swimming with sharks on a pool full of fishes is amazing.

The water park area for children is a Plus, the pool is amazing, this is a family adventure you CAN NOT MISS when you visit Puerto Plata.

It is a fun and adventurous place. I loved the interaction with the animals. The best show is that of dolphins and sea lions. The coral for excellent diving and the different pools are great, it also has a private mini beach. The entrance includes the buffet, which is good, varied, and fits all tastes and desserts very good too. Does not include the drink.

As for entertainment 5 BUT as for food 4, a very good family atmosphere

Not as large as I expected. The shows where very good especially the sea lion show. Drinks very expensive. All in all we enjoyed it.

Go to the bar during the dolphin show. You get great seats, cheap delicious cocktails, and shade!

It is a place to spend with the family and enjoy the sun and learn about animals. There are shows throughout the day. The animators and coaches speak English and Spanish. You can not miss out on the interaction with the dolphins. They also have water slides and games.

A little sloppy facilities, but super attentive staff.

It's an ok place to take the family. Two different prices, 1 for Dominicans and 1 for tourists. The food selection is terrible, only 7 items. Other than that, children will love it.

It is a pleasant space to share with family and enjoy the shows they present.

Great excursion if you're coming down this side of DR. We swam with sharks, played with dolphins, and got kissed by a 700 lb. Sea lion. Exhilarating to say the least. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars, it's because the park could get dangerously crowded.

Just experienced a fabulous day! We visited from a cruise ship. Bring towels and a water; cold water was not overpriced, just a bit out of the way.
My better half had to leave her scooter at the gate. Luis, our attentive guide had a manual wheelchair at the ready, passed the guide sign to me, and pushed her to the dolphin encounter. Fortunately my
better half can walk some to enter the dolphin pool, because there is no handicap lift. I suspect the staff would be helpful in that case. Later in the day, as I was struggling uphill, another staffer pushed me aside and ran the wheelchair uphill, with my better half along for the ride.
The shows. There are places to view the show from the wheelchair, the steps are easy, not many handrails though.
The dolphin show was a little short and somewhat blocked by the railing over the pool. Still fun.
We watched the shark show from the outfield bleachers because it was marked as wheelchair accessible. Not a good view or place to listen, we left before the end. Watch from the front. I think they only lost 2 guests today to the sharks. Lol.
Don't miss the sea lions! If you want to get wet, sit up front. Well shaded seats.
Raynoldo guided us home with a personal cultural lesson. Taught us to say "good day" to the security guard in the local dialect! At least I'm fairly sure since the guard smiled and returned the greeting.

An entertaining park with its presentations and an attentive and fun staff, I loved the experience of going to enjoy with my family.

Awesome experience! The dolphin experience was excellent! The Bravissimo show was fun. The food was....ehhhh.

Totally worth it! Lots of shows & things to do for all ages. Crew was amazing & helpful.

New experiences but very expensive and pure advertising. You have to pay entrance and separate each service inside. You have to buy the water in the buffet that is included. Everything is additional !!!

It is kept clean and organized, the shows are punctual. The price is a bit high, especially for interactive activities

A place where children can enjoy in a safe and beautiful environment, the shows are very entertaining, it includes lunch but not drinks and everything is a little expensive, they should accommodate the prices a bit.

This is a huge park with different areas so i'll just review the Liquor Store + Bravissimo Show.

Went there for New Years Eve and i must say that is one of the best NYE i've ever had!. The ambient, the bravissimo show... is amazing. Best of all the prices are really cheap for what you are getting: Great music, great ambient by the beach, very secure and very mixed in terms of areas (
terrace, indoor, outdoor with roof, etc).

Great experience ,but should charge the same price for all guest. Charging more to foreigners is wrong.

The line to eat when there are many people is chaos. Excellent staff

We went through Carnival s Shore excursion. We did it all for under $200 CA.each We had an Encounter with the dolphins that was videotaped. We swam above nurse sharks for at least 15 minutes of free swim. You also get a hold a shark. Then we went to the sea lion Encounter and it was just as spectacular as the rest of the day was. For lunch there s a small buffett. The food was burgers & salads. Any kind of refreshments were NOT included. NO water or pop for free. Make sure you ve got a couple of bucks for it. After all the excitement was done, we went to see the photos that they took. OMG ... amazing Wow. They were reasonably priced for the amount of images that we received.
1 video, 25+ images on a USB, 1~8x11(weird size), a key chain & a fridge magnet all for 100 flat..no tax!
There are smoking areas available.
We were there for 5 hours. Too short, we seemed to be rushed even though we were at each exhibit for at least 45 minutes. Take the whole day. Enjoy snorkelling with their man made lagoon. I didn t have time.
All I can say is DO IT ALL A once in a lifetime experience. Memories forever. And who else do you know that s held a 5 shark on their lap? Holy mackerel! excuse the pun.

Had a great day here we did the royal dolphin swim and it was amazing you don't have to be a great swimmer to do this because you have to wear a flotation jacket then we Swan with the sharks

It is wonderful, beautiful view, people have a lot of fun with the different shows of sea lions, sharks, dolphins and birds, an excellent to share with the little ones of the house

Great country, great friendly helpful staff. Spread your tourism dollars around and tip well the employess. Too often they are forgotten. Not like the states, your money goes far and helps the people. Dolphin encounter was fantastic, Max was awesome, as well as the trained. Answered questions and made us feel very welcome.
