For only $3, this is well worth it and a great place for families and kids! It can get hot so prepare for the weather. Kids loved seeing all the animals.

I love this place. Love the walk and helping animals. The marshwalks are great. The new lake is lovely though the duckweed has taken over. Two years ago, my mom and aunt came down. My mom wasn't able to make it all the way around due to illness. I wanted to show her the most amazing tree. She passed last year, so I took photos for her this year. Trees were our thing so you know she loved coming to Savannah. Go during the week for a less crowded experience. Covid regulations still apply. So be respectful of the hard working volunteers.
Adventure awaits at this nature and wildlife Center. We enjoy the animals, walking the trails and learning about local species. Their special events in past years are family friendly and well planned.
Would highly recommend this place. Me and my family absolutely had a great time visiting here. If you planning on going make sure you wear something comfortable, there's a little walking involve. All in all it a great place to get away and enjoy the beautiful outdoors and see some cool animals
Wonderful to visit Oatland Island after more than a year now. It was nice to see all the great improvements that's been made as well. Reservations are required at this time, it's definitely worth the visit.
We enjoyed spending a few hours here on new year's eve. The trails were clean, clear, beautiful and shaded. We picked a perfect day to swing by. The kids really enjoyed spotting the animals and was fascinated watching the eagles eat. The lady we spoke with when we got there was really nice and informative. There was one deer that came up to the wall and stood up when my little girl spoke to him. It was the highlight of her day. I would suggest stopping in if you're in the area. The building was closed but there was a restroom at the petting zoo area that was very clean. We had to make a reservation online and it was only $12 for the 4 of us and I don't think I even had to buy a ticket for my 3 year old...double check the ticket age.
This is a great place to visit and take the family. Well design trail and the animals are well taken care of. Staff were excellent. Would definitely recommend for everyone to enjoy especially the Wolf exhibit. Had four beautiful Red Wolves that were not afraid of people. Had an amazing time.
It was not crowded today. The weather was very nice. The price is perfect.
We visited Oatland off season during this damn pandemic. While I HIGHLY appreciated the distance the animals had between one another, and the place was beautiful as they let the local vegetation run amok in some places, I really wish they would have opened up the interior building.
There's restrooms cordoned off that are accessable & a gift shop that I believe was open. Directions were a little difficult to follow. But mandating distancing + face masks, there's no reason why the whole building couldn't be open.
That said, I loved the quiet, spacing, exhibits and historical homestead that is on the property.
This was a surprise visit for us to Savannah. And I recommend visiting here.
Great for kids.
Very beautiful, the main trail was great, taking us along to see all the animals, informing us where we are and about the animals. We walked 1 3/4 miles my favorite part was the wolves. Remember to bring water!
