Awful venue, I generally like small, intermet gigs, but this was ridiculous. No sloped floor like in Brixton so if you're stuck behind taller people you won't see a thing, dont bother with upstairs. Bar was understaffed, so it took ages to get served. Pretty disappointed.

Haven't gone yet.I have just booked a VIP ticket for my disabled daughter as I was told to book and pay for the ticket then ring up to arrange disabled details and to add carer. However not as easy as it sounds spent most of the day trying to get someone to answer the phone when they did I had to be transferred but no reply was promised that the person would ring me back today but no call received. Now I have to do an email hoping they will reply to that if not I will have to ring them again. In the mean time my disabled daughter is getting very upset that her sad will not be able to go in with her. So far I'm not impressed with the service hopefully it will get better

The venue is great, good atmosphere and good facilities. Saw The Cult and they were outstanding. However the drinks prices are nothing short of scandalous. Don't buy a drink at this venue! Go to Wetherspoons round the corner, the drinks are a third of the price.

Amazing support from staff

Amazing support from staff
My daughter has Asperger s and for her that means that any crowded area, especially a live gig is fraught with obstacles and anxieties. We had tickets for the Hayley Kiyoko gig last night and I cannot praise the staff at the O2 Islington, especially David, Chris, Ellie and Louise enough for the help that they provided in setting things up beforehand and for making things go smoothly on the day to reduce my daughter s anxieties and enable her to be blown away by Hayley Kiyoko! Thank you.

Staff were professional and venue was well managed but only too keen to chase everyone out the moment the show ended, leaving little opportunity to meet any of the performers who were clearly making themselves available for autographs and photos.

It s a fairly small venue, but boy the sound is incredible. We were here last night seeing monuments, heart of a coward and I built the sky and I m surprised I don t have a broken neck. Insane

Nice little room, however, there are two rooms, one downstairs and one upstairs. The indications are average ... We realized after 30 minutes of tail that we were not in the good girl waiting

Good venue and nice evening spoilt by over zealous security. Wife and friend standing in T-Rextasy event for over 2.5 hours, denied open and uncrowded exit to the car park despite being a public right of way - forced to walk much longer way around via shops. May have helped the guys ego but ruined the experience for them.

I was a bit disappointed in the venue watching Lordi but it is a smaller venue, bars either side of the dance floor. When it got a bit rowdy it wasn't too hard to find a space away from the moshing. Stage could be a bit bigger. I had no trouble with the staff. Bring ear plugs as you are close to the speakers wherever you stand. Sticky floors. No difficulty accessing facilities before, during and after the acts

A small and intimate venue for a concert. Much better to be able to see the whites of the eyes of the band's playing. Rather than being so far away from the stage you have to watch them on screen. Tonight Alive are an Australian modern rock band. I have seen them twice this year and O2 Illsington was by far the best place to see them. Loved it.

Went to watch The Protomen. It was a wonderful gig, the venue could benefit from screnes or a big screen on the back to allow for more people to see the performance as there were a lot tall people present so it was difficult to see past them.

Nice little venue with that intimate vibe, especially as we don't particularly like stadiums. The bar isn't too far from the stage and kind of has a nice pub feel to it, although, not a great choice in beers and which unfortunately, tasted like p**s, hense my 4 and not 5 star rating. We really did enjoy ourselves here and will come here again.

If Satan himself designed a gig venue, he wouldn't be able to surpass the horror that is the O2 Academy Islington. Soul-less, long queues, less than optimum sound... I could go on, but I won't. Fin.

The place is quite small and the music was not the best, the crowd was nuts but there was quite good entertainment. Entry is cheap, worth going if you're not expecting much and just want to hang out with friends

A magnificent concert venue (for small concerts). You will particularly love the grungy / garage feeling overall. It allows for intimate concerts, holding only a few people. Acoustics are very cool.

You can go out to smoke as they stamp your wrist at the door, but there is no official smoking area, so you are just out in the shopping mall, basically.
