Very good aerobic room& rock climbing facaulties; Aux room(with yoga balls) is always occupied by clubs in the evening; Best part: closes at 11:30p on weekdays!! so convenient! And, close to the Palladium dining hall(best NYU dining hall!)

I m grateful that I have gym access with tuition, however it seems that a large portion of the spaces are dedicated to student athletes. The staff is usually courteous but can sometimes be condescending to non-athletes.

I decided to try out the Palladium Athletic Facility today as an NYU staff member. The staff members were pleasant, I received a tour upon request. The weight and cardio rooms were substantially smaller than I expected since this is advertised as a top-of-the-line athletic facility. The weight machines looked archaic compared to the commercial gyms I have used. And didn't have many of them. I couldn't find several machines that I'm used to at commercial gyms. Once I had finished using and wiping down my first weight machine, I was stopped (politely) by a staff member saying that I couldn't wear what I was wearing at the gym. I was a bit shocked. I've been going to a gym (Planet Fitness) for about 3 years and never told I couldn't wear what I was wearing. I was wearing a t-shirt and chinos. Certainly nothing offensive. I was referred to the manager when I asked the reasoning for the "dress code". I was told that you must wear "athletic attire" to use their gym because non-athletic attire may damage their equipment. I was told that all gyms have this type of dress code. The manager informed me that all other NYU Athletic Facilities also enforce this policy (and others). The manager offered to refund me what I paid for a 2-week trial at the facility, which was considerate. If you have a planet fitness membership or any other membership that gives you the freedom to wear reasonable clothing and don't want to sacrifice that for a "dress code", I'd steer clear.

The gym has a full size pool, diving equipment, rock climbing wall, full basketball court, spin-class room, dedicated calisthenics space, 3 squat racks, deadlifting stations, a cardio, and weight room. All that said it can get very crowded during peak hours hence the four stars.

It is NYUs flagship gyms with all the amenities. It includes an awesome full depth swimming pool, basket ball courts, cardio room, and weights room. Also there are separate classes for spinning. All the equipment are quiet new so you could log them with your app. They have limited day-use lockers but you could win a locker for yourself. It accepts yearly membership for outsiders and free for full-time NYU students.

If you have access, this is a great place for swimming if you avoid the peak times. The pool is 25m with 3 lanes each for slow, medium, and fast swimmers. There's no towel service though so make sure to bring your own.

University students have access the sports facility included in tution, the charges is specified in their website. Has lots of spaces for sports, weights, gym and a pool. But mostly catering to the Athletics department still the others can help themselves out while getting a bit of help from the staff..

It's a smaller gym so I would not recommend coming here after day classes or during the evening because it will be super packed. Early in the morning would be a better a time if you want access to equipment without having to wait.

5 weight racks that are always full. Decent machines however the rules are completely absurd!! You cannot even bring a backpack to have ur lifting straps or chalk or anything. If you're a tradional weight lifter this place will do however it can easily be better if the staff is linient.

Nice place, this is the only one with pool among nyu gyms. But I did encounter a few non-student people in the pool, not very respectable of other people, which is not at all the fault of this facility, but can still make you feel angry. BTW, the dining hall at Palladium serve super good brunch on Sunday!

Refer to my review of NYU Coles for comparison. This place is newer. It has that "new" smell about it. The basketball courts are not waxed often so it can be slippery. My only issue with this gym is that the showers are not enclosed. Everything is open. The equipment is all new and gets very crowded. I prefer Coles.

With five squat racks, the rack to price ratio is the best you will get in Manhattan. Unfortunately, gym etiquette from students is often lacking and the chaotic atmosphere can make you feel on edge.

Dining hall is amazing! I go to it all the time and it is usually packed, ESPECIALLY for the grill. Weight room is the size of a small garage but at least it has most of the equipment you need, so I would only use it if I can't go to 404.

Nice facility. Looks new and remodeled. In terms of the weight room, the staff needs to loosen up. Rules are ridiculous and they stop you in the middle of your lift to lay down the law. No shoes off. No chalk. Must always use clips. Safety does come first but forcing someone to stop in the middle of a lift doesnt seem kosher

Other parts of the facility seem ok. Doubt ill ever come back.
