This is a lovely garden that rose to my high expectations. Lovely walks, borders and specimen trees. The house was beautiful, interesting and quirky. As an artist I have inspiration overload.

The trees are now in their autumn colours and looking great. The gardens have also moved into autumn mode with most of the flowers having gone over. Still a pleasant stroll, nonetheless. There are helpful little signs around explaining what's going on in the flowers beds and how they are being prepared for spring. Once the gardens had been walked there was the opportunity to go for a stroll in one of the woodland walks.
Lovely walk around the house ground. Views are amazing. Kids loved doing a little Easter trail set up for them. Will go back.
Great National Trust property with a variety of gardens and a small but beautiful house, part of which is picturesque ruins.
Cafe & toilets on-site with new, larger cafe & toilet block under construction (May 2021).
Although there's lots of space for younger ones to run around there aren't any dedicated play spaces/playgrounds.
Lovely to walk around and you can do a short walk easily if you don't want to go all the way round. Cafe open for take aways to have outside. Great views.
House closed due to covid restrictions. The gardens are amazing. Lots of families took rugs and sat out with the kids but leave those footballs and scooters at home to protect the buildings and plants. If you have kids ask at the entrance what there is for kids as I saw loads following a trail which was clearly lots of fun and educational. The NT are really excellent at providing something for everyone. Well done!
The gardens at Nymans are beautiful at the moment. Bursting with Spring colour. Daffodils by the thousand. Crocuses, Snowdrops, Tulips and Camellias are all doing their utmost to bring some good cheer during this latest Lockdown..and succeeding!
I could lose myself at Nymans, if you love gardening or photography you have to visit in all the seasons. Stunning planting, beautiful scenery. The history is fabulous, I learn something new everytime. Lovely people, never taken my dogs to Nymans so don't know if you can. But can't wait to go again.
Nymans Gardens is a wonderful setting for your wedding!
If you're planning a relaxed wedding day and you're looking for somewhere unique to celebrate your marriage Nymans has countless photos opportunities and is just a wonderful place.
Time passes faster than you think and your wedding day will be over in a blur so you deserve an amazing wedding!
Over the years the wonderful flowing design of the original family's vision with it's excellent taste and exquisite planting has been replaced with park like planting in odd pockets. Every year we visit and see the next ugly installation, such a shame. It is still a beautiful place to visit, the site is astounding and the views incredible. The house is lovely inside too but the national trust's heavy hand can be seen in most areas in the gardens. Most of the changes are baffling and rather ugly.
