I had my first visit with Dr. Goldschmidt yesterday and absolutely loved it! I came from Dr. Deluca in Lyndhurst and will be staying at Nutley Eye Care. I didn't feel like I was just a "number". I was treated like a patient. He was very thorough with his exam and answered all my questions. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who is looking for a new Optometrist.

You've got to love a doctor that listens and patiently answers your questions. Dr. Goldschmidt never seems rushed or as if he's trying to get rid of you. I felt that my appointment time was MY time with him allowing me to try multiple contact lenses until they were perfect. He fitted me for bifocal contacts based on some issues with reading. I was even seen early..no wait time. Amazing.

I just visited Nutley Eye Care for the fourth year in a row. That should be enough said right there! Why would I go somewhere I don't like after the first time?!? The office is simple, clean and organized. I don't wear glasses, but there is a huge selection to choose from. I go to get my eye exam and contact lens evaluation every year. You have questions or concerns about your eye health? Dr. Joshua Goldschmidt will give you the answers. The receptionist promptly has your bill ready and insurance information all set by the time your appointment is over. At that time you can also make your next year's appointment which has text message and email notifications. Dr. Joshua Goldschmidt is a nice guy!

I found Nutley Eye Care through my insurance and was excited to find they are so close by. I had my first appointment this week, and was impressed by the follow up with texts and emails to confirm my appointment.

I had a thorough exam, and when I mentioned some concerns I had about hereditary eye disease, Dr. Goldschmidt let me know about a screening test he offers.
I was happy to have this test which helps to reassure me - and I am impressed that he is up on the latest technology.
I also love that he was able to email me the report, and when I emailed him with a question, he emailed me back right away.
Communication is so important. My whole family will be switching to Nutley Eye Care.

I ve been a patient at Nutley Eye Care for the past theee years and I have been very happy with their service. The ease of scheduling, coupled with the quick service makes me a continuous patient. I recently visited Dr. Goldschmidt as a new patient in need of an eye exam. The process for booking an appointment through the reminders and processing the new patient paperwork was fast and efficient. Dr. Goldschmidt was very professional and even helped me pick out new glasses. I have never had that level of helpfulness from any eye doctor. I will bring my wife and children in the near future for their eye exams.

I just purchased my third pair of glasses from Nutley Eye Care. The order was placed on Thursday and I received my glasses on Tuesday. Dr. Goldschmitt and his staff are always friendly and professional. Great service, I highly recommend this office.

I am a new patient of Dr. Goldschmidt. I read all the wonderful reviews online, which is why I chose this office. The office is so neat and clean and the staff was wonderful. I received a reminder email as well as a reminder text which is great. Dr. Goldschmidt was very knowledgeable and very patient as I called my previous eye doctor to find what brand contacts I have been using. He also has a sense of humor which I appreciate (: Overall it was a very good experience and I would absolutely recommend this office!

This was my first time going to Nutley Eye Care and I had a great experience. The center is very clean and organized which also includes a wide selection of new and stylish glasses/sunglasses. I have to give high praise to the receptionist and Dr. Goldschmidt who were both very friendly and answered any questions I had. Overall, the whole process was quick and easy, I would go back again.

My appointment was smooth and swift. After 10 weeks of lockdown, I finally was able to get a spot. It took me a 45 days to get one but worth it. I will not go any where else. I have been going here for several years now. And I m willing to wait regardless the number of customers they have.

I've come here for the past 3 years or so, and regular eye check-ups have been nothing short of a smooth and pleasant experience each time. The front desk double-checks to see that my insurance will cover the visit, and if not, advises me to re-schedule so that I am not surprised by out-of-pockets costs later on. This courtesy from the staff, along with others like not overbooking; therefore, not keeping patients waiting upon arrival for their appointment is exceptional. I hope they can keep it up for many years to come. Dr. Goldschmidt's own geniune concern for patients with more serious issues such as my recent internal stye is truly appreciated and his professionalism shines through. He is a no-nonsense specialist, which I prefer, especially when it comes to urgent, medical matters. I don't need jokes when I am needing treatment or unwell, but I do need accurate and efficient service, which is what this office overall has provided me.

Dr. Goldschmidt is very good at what he does. It's always a pleasant experience. The selection of eyeglass frames are very nice. I recommend.

Not sure how it happened, but I developed a painful eye irritation. Was able to get a timely appointment for my 'scratched cornea', get prescribed medication, and the follow- up a week later revealed a nearly healed condition. Dr. Goldschmidt was kind, professional, and put my mind at ease.

Great staff, very professional and cordial. Went in on Wednesday to set up an appoint for Sunday with no problem. The eye exam was thorough and there was a good selection for frames in various styles.

I had to get a new eye doctor since my old one no longer accepts my vision insurance, so I based my choice of Nutley Eye Care off of the many glowing reviews here. I must say I was not disappointed. The receptionist was extremely friendly and answered all of my preliminary questions very thoroughly. Dr Goldschmidt was also very friendly and did a very thorough exam. He was even nice enough to take my existing frames which were not purchased there and put new lenses in them. I am very happy that I found them!

I woke up with a swollen eye from what it appeared a stye. The doctor was able to see me as a walk in. He prescribed me an antibiotic eye drop. Was in and out in less that 20 minutes and today I woke up feeling much better. I will be going back to get my glasses. I would recommend to everybody.

Great selection of frames but poor customer service. We did not get our glasses for over a month and when called, we were told it was back ordered. At least should have received a call to let us know. We ended up getting a frame from the shelf. Our concern around glass quality were just ignored.

Very nice, professional, clean office. Doctor is knowledgeable and does not aggressively sell you eyeglasses and upgrades.

I arrived on time, they checked me in quickly and the Dr was immediately there to welcome me. He checked my eyes for the issue I was having and I was out of the office in about 1/2 hr. great service and hardly any wait time.
I'm going back here for my eye exams and glasses from now on.

My son's appointment went well. The doctor was very friendly and we were impressed that he did not try to upsell unnecessary features for his new glasses. We left another eye doctor in town because of his salesy, pushy demeanor. This eye doctor was not like that, and we felt that he had my son's best interest in mind.

I needed an unscheduled appointment for an irritation in the eye. I called and they were able to accommodate me the same day. I was taken within 5 minutes of arrival. The doctor is very knowledgeable and friendly. He examined my eye with various tests and prescribed eye drops. As of the next morning I was feeling much better. I would recommend this doctor to anyone with an eye doctor.

Service is great but i wouldnt get glasses from there, really over priced. Estimate given for me was 425$, online price i got from a different vendor 165$. Thats a huge price difference. Best places to get a pair would be Costco or online retailer like Zenni optical.

Dr. Goldschmidt is the real deal. Quality doctor who stands by his services and products. There is little wait time and the doctor gives you all his time and attention when it's your turn. Proof of his quality appeared when he replaced my glass lenses after the film chipped off shortly after I got them, I was frankly surprised by how easy the whole process was.

I had what I thought was an emergency and they squeezed me in the same day with a few hours notice. The receptionist was so sweet and the Doctor made me feel comfortable.. and let me know it wasn t that bad lol. I will definitely come here again in the future.

Scheduling was easy and convenient. Needed to refill my contacts right away so they booked me the earliest Sunday possible. I am very pleased with their professionalism and service.

I went to Nutley Eye Care as a new patient, as my former doctor retired and I wanted someone closer to home. The ability to schedule an appointment was easy, and they took the time to check my insurance coverage ahead before I got there. Dr. Goldschmidt is a pleasure to work with. He answered all my questions in a friendly manner and performed a thorough eye exam. The office setting itself was fresh, neat and clean. I recommend Nutley Eye Care and will return for my annual exam next year.

The facility was clean and careful regarding the pandemic. Unfortunately their retail frames and glasses prices are not competitive with online purchase options, but overall I d recommend this facility to anyone.

Needed an annual eye exam and had to find a more local spot since my prior doctor relocated to New York. Saw the reviews for Nutley Eye Care, gave it a shot...best decision ever! Easy to find corner spot, receptionist is extremely friendly and the doctor was amazing, very thorough in his eye exam. There is only on street parking (metered) so keep that in mind when making an appointment

What I love most about Nutley Eye Care, is that they are a family run business. This makes me feel that they truly careabout my family. The doctor talks you through the process, and it seems as if his top priority is ensuring your experience is seamless. He knows and understands insurance plans and makes sure you get the most value from yours. Myself, my daughter, and husband all come here and we are very pleased with the service.

Dr. Josh Goldschmidt is really great. He is attentive with an opinion that's focused on what's good for you, your needs and your budget. From making an appointment, to the checkup, to the frame/lens selection, to the receiving your glasses/lenses - the team makes it an all-around friendly, comfortable and professional experience. My family has been going to him for a couple of years now and we plan on it being a long relationship.

I havent been for an eye exam in 2 years. I am so glad that I went back to Nutley Eye Care when I finally had time to go. The receptionist is so polite and accomodating and the Dr. is wonderful. The exam was thorough and there was no waiting. Great selection of frames and no hidden fees, the Dr. checked my insurances and knew right away how much I had to pay out of pocket. I would highly recommend Nutley Eye Care to anyone.

He bent over backwards to help me find a convenient appointment time, he spent the time listening to my particular situation, and assisted me in my vision treatment. He was professional, friendly and insightful, and did not make the appointment feel rushed at all. I plan on switching from my previous optometrist to him. Much kudos.

I went to Nutley Eye Care for the first time yesterday and I have to say one of the best eye doctors I have had! He genuinely seemed to care about not only my eyes but me as a person. I knew I would love this place instantly because the staff was amazing with rescheduling my appointment; it wasn't an inconvenience for them and although the receptionist was busy she still acknowledged me. Other doctors offices I have been to were rude and had overall poor customer service. I am even talking my grandmother into switching her doctor. Excellent people and environment!
