We were stuck in a room for 2 days with a lot of banging and floor shaking from the parking garage below. We didn't receive a discounted rate for the inconvenience as well. Would not return in the future.

Special furnishings but there are all the comforts required. Friendly and helpful staff. It is in front of the criminal court and nearby there is also a store for bail bonds ... atmosphere of a police drama that gives a pleasant thrill, if then from the window of the room you see the bus of the prisoners entering the show is complete !!

This hotel was included in a JetBlue weekend package. Having never stayed in Brooklyn, I was quite pleased with this hotel There were a lot of great restaurants and shops within walking distance. I would stay there again.

Such an ideally located, charming, and reassuringly secure little hotel. The staff are efficient, organized, and sweetly cheerful. Solomon, or a collegue, will help you find a petstore, a quick cab, or somewhere nearby for a delightful meal. Continental breakfast comes included, and coffee is available all day. The quiet, warm rooms have a seldom seen mini bar and the prices are reasonable.

Shopping starts literally on the doorstep at Smith and Atlantic. Great little boutiques, hidden antiquarians, irresistible tacquerias, rare fashion finds, and even a perfume shop called Twisted Lily that carries hard to find names like Nicolai and Kurkdjian. Thats just Atlantic; and all within 10 minutes walk. Smith st, Flatbush ave., Fulton st. are equally interesting.

If your taste runs to the revered Brooklyn museum, or the futuristic Barclay sports complex and entertainment centre, all lie within an easy 30 minute walk on pleasant Brownstone lined streets, or on bustling downtown throughways. The subway is quck and handy, do yourself a favor and buy a pass. It pays for itself. Manhattan,Ground Zero, and Central Park are waiting. If you want to go big, look into the food court and concourse under the legendary Park Plaza hotel at the southern tip of Central Park.

If you arrive before the room is ready, the staff will hold your luggage in a secure bell room. If your departure time is after checkout, the same still applies. It is a $50 dollar cab ride from here to JFK.

Overall, this hotel was the foundation of, and lynchpin to, our wonderful visit to Brooklyn. It will be our "go to" for future returns. ( hmmm... have I said too much ; ).

Incredibly accommodating hotel and staff! Just moving to the city with our dogs and we had to keep extending our stay while looking for an apartment and the back and fourth from the hotel and apartment searching was stressful so it was very helpful having such an accommodating and clean hotel to come back too that was comfortable for our pets. Very clean and modern with everything you need. A great bar and sitting area outside. Great management and staff. Walking distance to everything you need and really good restaurants. Highly recommend!

Friendly staff and a great Location. We love this Hotel for large groups! The staff gets back to you quick and has great knowledge about the neighborhood to make large event bookings so simple. The little perk of having bicycles to use for the day is extra fun for the guests. Use Jessica and Tanya to help you book everything you need. It will make your stay in Brooklyn be way less overwhelming.

Upon arrival the staff, especially managers, seem preoccupied and unwilling to help with our early arrival. After that though, staff seemed to warm up. The cleaning staff, very helpful and super friendly. The room was nice, clean, and not to small. Very quiet for the location and a parking garage right next door. We'd go back for sure.

We got locked out of our friends apartment and this hotel was the closest with an available room that was also affordable. It was three am and the front desk staff was so nice, accommodating, and helpful (from the first phone call and on arrival). The free breakfast in the morning was great. Rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious enough. If I m ever back in Brooklyn I will be staying here again .

Super cool/hip hotel. You don't get the views that you might get with bigger named hotels in downtown Brooklyn but the location is 100 times better than being in downtown Brooklyn. The amenities are all comparable, but you can't beat walking outside and having all the shopping, restaurants, etc that are offered on Smith and Court St as well as Atlantic Ave

Nu Hotel has a contemporary look and vibe. It was very clean and service was fair, minor attitude from front staff members but nothing too dramatic happened. Free continental breakfast was selective but fair choices. Would come back to stay here again if I'm in NYC/Brooklyn!

Great choice. Everything is good, from the subway for about 15 minutes to the green line. Breakfast as usual is not very good, but there is generally bad with food. Plotenets a lot, the rooms are spacious. Quiet. Friendly staff, but this is also normal. There are bicycles for hire. Brooklyn and all that. On the contrary, it looks like a prison;) View from the window into the courtyard in the photo.

Let me start off by saying the staff were extremely nice but with that being said the hotel is more like a motel. if you want to hear everything your neighbors are doing come to the Nu Hotel. First off most of the rooms are extremely small, if you're trying to get some sleep in the daytime u won't because you're going to hear every door slime on that floor from the cleaning lady to a neighbor. CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST now that is somewhat of a joke they say it because of covid-19 your not getting any hot food you're only getting a grab and go. And if you get there in the last hour and there isn't any thing left for you it's not being restocked. Let's be honest if you're looking for high price luxury NU HOTEL is not it.

The hotel was clean. The room wasn't huge, but was trendy and nice. There is no parking, but there is a parking deck next door (45 bucks for overnight). Staff was friendly. Bar is small; open to 11. Complimentary coffee, English muffins, bananas, and oatmeal. A little expensive, but I would go there again.

Easy online booking. Good information on the site and lots of pictures, room rates reasonable for a boutique hotel. The hotel was clearly marked and easy to find. The hotel does not have it's own parking but there is a garage right next door with great rates and two more right down the street. The hotel is well situated for the subway as well, at least two metro stations within a 5 minute walk and back bus station outside. Check in was a breeze. They have bike rentals, an attractive (but a little small) lobby with a bar. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was gorgeous, king sized bed was comfortable, bathroom clean with good toiletries. Fully stocked mini bar with very reasonable prices and a good array of alcohol. Large flat-screen TV, desk, sizable closet with a safe. Room was clean and temperature was comfortable, the decor was very chic. Could not hear a thing from any of the other rooms on the floor. Free breakfast in the morning with many options for food. Check out was a breeze, complementary bag check on the way out to enjoy the rest of the day. Only regret is that we were only there for one night and did not get a chance to see the exercise center. Would definitely stay there again.

Trendy, with nice, and clean rooms. Got a good deal through a night of booking. Front desk staff who checked me in seemed to be forcing self to be cordial, but I guess he was trying. I prefer it when hotel staff act like they want you there personally. The interior designer also seemed to have think a shower design that floods the rest of the bathroom floor would be fun, and that the built in reading light is something you'd only want on with the rest of the lights, but every other small touch was lovely.

WARNING: THIS HOTEL CHARGES A "RESORT" FEE. [In Brooklyn?! Are you kidding?] I downgraded it 2 stars for deceptive advertising. I downgraded it one more star for the bathroom. We had a "disabled" room which had a very large bathroom. Unfortunately, they had a lousy architect! The shower was large, but had a very small lip on the edge to contain the water. With a fabric shower curtain that billowed out with the heated air of the shower, water easily escaped the enclosure. That would have been OK if the floor had been angled TOWARD the shower. Alas, it was not. It had a severe angle AWAY from the shower. The result was half the bathroom was flooded by the end of a shower. So we had to mop it up with a bath towel.
The room, itself, was fine, the bed comfortable and the European style breakfast was also okay.

Only 15 minutes into Manhattan? Sign me up! This is the perfect hipster hotel, right down to the organic bedding. Stayed the night with some friends and was shocked that hotels can come with a chalkboard. Needless to say, drunken Pictionary was played. It's right by the F train so the trip home the next day was a breeze.

The hotel was quite modern and comfortable, which made my stay very different. I liked the atmosphere. They have nice sized rooms for couples, and the bathrooms are beautiful and spacious.

The downsides I had of staying here is that I wasn't told about the extra $50.00 deposit when booking the room. I even double checked the expenses online for all the final charges, and that was never stated. I was only told this after arriving. It's very dissapointing when you are expecting to pay a certain amount, and then there's more added on top of it. Kind of misleading.

The second thing is that the floor I was on, (floor 2) smelled heavily of marijuana. Being pregnant, that was pretty difficult to have to smell when coming in and out of my room.

The worst hotel night ever. I booked one night to get away from noise, and everything just to get here and have to endure a night with ongoing music and weed smoke. Yes, a party during COVID-19! I called downstairs countless times up until 3:00am, and nothing was done about the partygoers. Then upon checkout, I tell the attendant and he said he wasn t here last night . Don t waste your hard earned money here, they clearly don t care about their guests. Save some coins and stay at the Marriott.

Good, friendly, comfortable hotel.

Good, friendly, comfortable hotel.

The location is superb, if you want the mellow Brooklyn vibe, which suited us after long travel and busy days. The shops, cafes and bars and restaurants in the area are superb. And travel is great from here.

The welcome was very friendly. The room was good, basics like mattress, shower, toiletries, and coffee were all excellent. The room was tired however, with broken blind, safe, and sockets, and a crazy noisy fridge.

Would choose to stay here again based on price, but the experience lacked any real spark, and hasn't earned my loyalty... Yet.

The lobby is not large, but there is a comfortable sofa, a counter table and a foot chair for coffee and cookies.
It's easy, but it's also nice to have free breakfast.
The staff is very friendly.
The rooms are small.
A stylish hotel in a location where you can live in Brooklyn's local life.
