About Ns2 serves
NS2 Serves: Empowering Veterans with IT Skills
NS2 Serves is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to helping veterans transition from military service to civilian life by providing them with free IT training and employment assistance. The organization was founded in 2014 by Mark Testoni, the CEO of SAP National Security Services (SAP NS2), as a way to give back to those who have served our country.
The mission of NS2 Serves is simple: to empower veterans with the skills they need to succeed in the fast-paced world of information technology. The program provides intensive training in areas such as cybersecurity, cloud computing, and data analytics, all of which are in high demand in today's job market.
One of the unique aspects of NS2 Serves is its focus on hands-on learning. Rather than simply teaching theory and concepts, students are given real-world projects to work on throughout their training. This approach not only helps them develop practical skills but also gives them valuable experience working on teams and collaborating with others.
Another key component of the program is its emphasis on mentorship. Each student is paired with a mentor who provides guidance and support throughout their training and beyond. This relationship often continues even after graduation, as mentors help students navigate the job search process and provide ongoing career advice.
NS2 Serves has been highly successful since its inception, having trained over 400 veterans so far. Graduates have gone on to work for top companies such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft, and Booz Allen Hamilton, among others.
But perhaps even more impressive than these statistics are the personal stories of transformation that come out of NS2 Serves. Many graduates speak about how the program not only gave them new skills but also helped them regain confidence after leaving military service.
For example, one graduate named John had struggled with PTSD after serving two tours in Iraq. He found it difficult to adjust back into civilian life until he discovered NS2 Serves. Through his training at the organization, he gained new skills that allowed him to land a job at Amazon Web Services where he now works as a cloud support associate.
Another graduate named Sarah had been working low-wage jobs before discovering NS2 Serves through her local VA office. She completed her training in cybersecurity and now works for Booz Allen Hamilton making over three times what she did before joining the program.
These success stories are just two examples among many that demonstrate how powerful an impact NS2 Serves can have on veterans' lives.
In addition to providing free IT training for veterans through its core program offerings, NS2 serves also offers other resources such as resume workshops and interview preparation sessions designed specifically for transitioning service members looking for employment opportunities within technology fields like cyber security or data analytics - both areas where there's currently high demand due largely because they're critical components needed by businesses across industries today!
Overall if you're looking for an organization that truly cares about empowering our nation's heroes while simultaneously filling critical gaps within America's workforce then look no further than Ns-serve!
