Numoligorh Refinery Limited is one of the major refinery of north-east , having a capacity of 3 MMT . It is joint venture of Bharat Petrochemical , Govt of Assam and oil india limited . It had been established in 2001 . The refinery has a product range comprising of LPG , Naphtha , Petrol , Aviation Turbine fuel ,High speed Diesel , Kerosene ,Raw Petroleum Coke , Sulfur and Paraffin Wax .

Very difficult place to reach..... If you are coming by train get down at Golaghat station. .. from there take taxi or local bus ..... Distance is 30 kms..... Jorahat is the nearest airport...... For stay one can choose either Jorahat or Golaghat. ....

The largest oil refinery in Assam. It was established under the bill of Assam Accord. The environment around its surrounding areas are very good. I had visited the refinery in the year 2018 from my school. The tour of the refinery is awesome. It has also a butterfly park in its township which is just 7km away from the refinery.
