Wondering who the NVE is and what kind of right these people who work here have to destroy Norwegian nature and us who get noise from large wind turbines. You haven't invested in houses and cabins that get these plagues. Stop this madness now, you are the only ones who don't understand this!

Some claim to have been allowed to dig up our mountains and put them under concrete. And then windmills so you get away bird life as well. Who has the authority to adopt such a thing? We do not own the land, sorry!

About Norwegian Water and Energy Directorate (NVE)

Norwegian Water and Energy Directorate (NVE) is a government agency responsible for managing the country's water and energy resources. The agency's primary objective is to ensure a secure power supply while improving society's ability to handle flood and landslide risks. NVE serves as the national technical institution for hydrology, providing expert advice on water management, energy production, and environmental protection.

With over 700 employees spread across Norway, NVE has been at the forefront of developing sustainable solutions for managing natural resources. The agency works closely with other government bodies, research institutions, industry stakeholders, and local communities to promote responsible use of water and energy resources.

One of NVE's core responsibilities is ensuring that Norway has a reliable power supply. The agency oversees the country's electricity grid infrastructure, monitors power production from renewable sources such as hydropower plants, wind turbines, solar panels etc., and ensures that there are adequate reserves in case of emergencies or disruptions in supply.

In addition to its role in ensuring a stable power supply system for Norway’s population of over 5 million people; NVE also plays an important role in mitigating natural disasters such as floods and landslides. Through its extensive knowledge base on hydrology -the study of water movement- it provides guidance on how best to manage these risks by identifying areas prone to flooding or landslides before they occur so that preventive measures can be taken.

NVE also works towards promoting sustainable development by encouraging the use of renewable energy sources such as wind turbines or solar panels instead of fossil fuels which contribute significantly towards climate change. By doing so it helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions which are harmful not only locally but globally too.

The Norwegian Water Resources Act gives NVE authority over all aspects related to water management including licensing hydropower plants construction projects near rivers or lakes; monitoring river flows during droughts/floods; assessing environmental impacts caused by human activities like mining operations etc.; regulating groundwater extraction activities among others.

NVE’s work extends beyond just managing natural resources but also includes research into new technologies aimed at improving efficiency while reducing environmental impact associated with resource extraction processes like oil drilling offshore platforms etc.. This makes them an important player in shaping future policies around sustainability issues both nationally & internationally

In conclusion,Norwegian Water and Energy Directorate (NVE) plays an essential role in managing Norway’s precious natural resources through its expertise in hydrology -the study of water movement- which enables it provide guidance on how best manage risks associated with floods/landslides while promoting sustainable development practices through encouraging use renewable energy sources like wind turbines/solar panels instead fossil fuels thereby reducing greenhouse gas emissions harmful not only locally but globally too!
