Make promises to complete repairs, a year on still waiting. Disgusting service

Lady on the phone was very extremely apologetic about the length of time I was on hold, was unable to help me, so gave me another number to contact shame the information was incorrect as it was for completely the wrong department! 45 mins of my life I will never get back! NBC total waste of our money!

Disappointing Service.

Called to enquire about some garden waste only to be told to fill the bin. You can't quite fill the bin with 2 x 3 m tall rotten pine trees. I have been told to carry it to a local site in my car (Don't have a van or large car). I even offered to pay and I've been told there is no such service. Starting to wonder why am I paying Council Tax, the streets are poor, garden waste is charged separately, I'm basically trowing hundreds of pounds yearly in the bin. Shame on you and your system. You should be investigated by a higher body.

The worst call and waiting time I have ever experienced, it took more than 45 minutes for an operator to answer the phone. So ridiculous and unfair

Terrible roads and marking, promised to fix with in 6 month, and don't. Just waste our taxes in useless people wages. Some places is really good to test your suspension before go on MOT. Some people just abuse system but they don't care. Good luck Northamptonshire

An absolute master class of incompetence and a shining beacon of feeble administration. If you are ever looking for an example of how to not run a local council, look no further than Northampton.

They do not respect the rights of the public to access publicly accessible areas, as seen in Auditing Britain's report.

Nobody has answered the phone for over an hour now....why do I bother paying these incompetent imbeciles?

I am moving away and just want to let them know for Council Tax reasons, not easy enough to go online and have been holding here long enough to write this review.

Useless Council. What does our Council Tax get spent on. The town is filthy and they never cut the grass.

Parking is a nightmare and will cost. Allow time for the unbelievable waiting. Seriously lacks privacy.

How to destroy a decent town, and get paid handsomely to do it !

Incompetence is too good a word for them. For the 2nd time, my postal voting papers have not arrived in time. Absolutely useless, the Council seems like a disgraceful waste of public money.

Reynards way/Obelisk rise closed nobody working to sort problem buses diverted without any notice WHAT ARE THE COUNCIL DOING SWEET FA IT APPEARS as a 72 year 0ld I have to trek 500 yards to catch a bus as for our Local Councillor he is a total waste of space

Awful - Unhelpful. If the problem affects their area, the staff will do something, otherwise, don't even bother trying to resolve an issue. You just get fobbed off. My part of town is slowly declining into a ghetto, due to the lack of cleaning and maintenance.

Wonderful looking publicly paid for building that the public are not allowed to see. The new parts are horrible and photography is not a crime

No customer service .or respect . They don't care how they deal with you or how badly they talk to you ,do not listen .or how they affect you over housing repairs either disability or medical needs ,as a human being tenants are nothing . Very ill after years of it . and still it goes on

Unfit for purpose. Lends money to corrupt developers up front rather than make stage payments. Prevents growth (Ikea). No ideas other than flats, flats & more flats. Allows cronyism (police commissioner). Filthy potholed streets, obsession with traffic lights causing unnecessary traffic problems, no pride, no vision.

I find the issues you report never get delt with along with the long waiting times to get through in the first place

Just looking at the reviews for this council it seems they have a massive problem here.

Don't request repairs from these because they will continually ignore you, even after complaints have been made. They completely lack communication skills, but are quick to chase you if you miss a payment!

My black bins were not collected on the designated day even though they were put out at 7am and they don't come until 4pm. l followed the procedure of reporting it on the council webb site where an automated response tells you they will collect on the next working day.
The bins have now been out for 5 days and l have reported it 3 times now.
I called the council who have informed that the bin collectors have recorded that the bins were not left out for collection the following day which would have been a Saturday!!!
Blatant lies on their behalf as the bins have been out since Friday along with our neighbours whose also was not collected...could it be they didn't even bother to work that day but have recored a shift that never actually happened. What a waste of council tax money!!!

Spend 40 minutes on hold and then I gave up. Thought I'd email instead. Two emails and still no reply.
It's not just poor service, there is no service.
It's about time this council was taken over by people who care

this is the first time I have lived in Northamptonshire and the dealings that I've had with the council have been good.

I phoned the council tax team who were very helpful today and I thanked them for being so helpful.

The Northampton Council is the worst ever I have been trying to complain about a certain issue but when you call them it s only computer generated operators and endless waiting when put through their phones just ring on and on, they ( council) have no respect for the people they are here to serve.. All rotten apples

Phoned about a big pile of flytipping last summer, behind our row of houses.. still there and getting bigger..Looks awful :/

Amazing service this morning. I only reported a bin issue a couple of hours ago and I've just checked and somebody from the council has already popped by to resolve the issue. Fab, thank you.

Absolutely rubbish customer service and this is a vulnerable couple that are currently homeless. Took ages to get through then rudely spoken to and given no solutions. I was also phoning from a professional perspective, if I spoke to clients like that I would be sacked!!

Just spoke to Sheela , she would not give second name . One of the worst council for many departments however we all have been voting for years for this so why complain now ...O yes paying extra for the garden bin might help lol , wait and see...

They treated my partner terribly. No service. No procedures. Just demanding money off you left right and centre. Council tax procedures are absolutely atrocious alongside bailiff procedures etc. No help whatsoever. Shame. Beware.

More than happy to take your cash but reporting an issue then no chance. Ps do dog wardens exist in Northamptonshire. You don't seem to have a department regarding issues.

Made me wait for a call back for over two months to just tell me what they think, Worse staff specialy at the housing team
