Exceptional part of the world. Highly recommend the area around Goathland - for it's perfect mix of moorland and coastal beauty. Whitby , Sandsend and Robin Hood's Bay are within 30 minutes drive. Something for everyone.

Something for everyone here. I could live here. Wonderful scenery, roads, paths, bridleways, NYM Railway, pubs, beer, hotels, hostels, camping. OK, so yes it's geared up for outdoors people but if you've never been here you really have missed out.

After visiting Durham we passed through this National Park, very suggestive and picturesque with large woods and open grasslands. Beautiful well-kept and flowered villages and farms. It is an area that lends itself to beautiful walks and excursions in a still wild and mysterious naturalistic area. We will be back for an extended vacation.

Words fail me because the weather was dreadful. I left the car to take photos but was soaked with rain and.cold winds. My phones camer did not like it either.

However on a better weather day, you can't be disappointed, because you can see that all Yorkshire, is not just beautiful but breathtaking. A wonderful county to visit perhaps when the weather is more clement.

Honestly, words cannot adequately describe just how beautiful this park is. Varied scenery and sprawling woodland with wonderfully snaking walkways and cycle paths, interspersed with campsites, homes and little hamlets of sorts. Its picturesque beyond belief.

The visitors center is lovely and has all the necessary facilities, as well as multiple cafes/eateries so you have options abound.

The Playground is impressive and should keep children amused for a long time, with plenty of different and varied walks, with lengths and difficulties advertised with the maps you can pick up, for families and walking groups alike, as well as the ability to hire bikes which is a great addition.

Looking forward to my next visit.

Well what more could anyone want from life. A million miles from anywhere or so it seems. It's all so grim up north or that's what everyone thinks down south but we have more beautiful scenery than any other place in the country

It is great when the weather is dry but can be not allot of fun if it is raining . Do not go walking on the moor if you do not know it very well can get lost very easily and always tell someone you are walking on the Moor and what time you will be back.

This is one of the most beautiful places to visit in the whole country, wild in some areas but very welcoming in others.
Whether you are a cyclist, runner or walker even sightseeing you will find something of interest.
