First and last time ever visiting this emergency r...

First and last time ever visiting this emergency room . Went there for major pain on the left side of my back which I assumed was from kidney stones because Ive had them numerous times . Sat there for 5 hours. They did urine and an X-ray which supposedly came back normal and sent me home with a diagnosis of Back Pain . Never gave me anything for the pain the entire time I was there and it was excruciating. Staff was pleasant for the most part for the exception of the last male nurse who gave me my discharge papers . Woke up the next day and knew I needed to be seen again because I could barely walk and was out of options . Went to a different hospital and sure enough I have multiple stones as well as an infection. They took the time to give me a CT scan as well as urine and blood work up. Safe to say North Vista just tried to get everyone in and out without actually taking the time to figure out whats wrong with their patients. An entire day I could have had antibiotics working in my system but instead, wasted 5 hours for nothing . If you have options to visit a different emergency room, I suggest you do so .

Went to the emergency was very full which is understandable BUT the nurses get into there PERSONAL feelings about how busy it is... a RN told another nurse to shut up and do it and yanked the papers away from him when she realized people where watching. Also she was giving attitude to another nurse and said well you like this no hurry up then. Poor lady was running around already. She needs to be retained or fired. That is no professional nurse.

well I'm coming back to edit my review due to the fact that the staff from 3 in the morning until 6, were AWESOME, but after shift change was madness, I was completely ignored. My nurse introduced herself and I didn't see her again until around 12:30. THE DR. NEVER EVEN CAME AND SPOKE ONE WORD TO ME, how unprofessional do you have to be to not even come discuss somebodies test results and diagnosis with them. They wanted to admit me, but I refused. So my nurse had somebody other than herself come drug me up until discharge. I asked her for headache medicine and she refused it to me, and I received no discharge papers. And top of that my extra wrist band that was paper clipped to my chart, was on the floor outside my door when I opened it to leave. I don't know what's going on up there, but second shift is a sorry crew to put it nicely

Wait time in ER to be admitted took 5 hours. When brought to my room, CNA Brandy and Nurse Judy lack lots of professional etiquette. CNA doesn't know anything when you ask a question and Judy the nurse doesn't wash hands between patients nor does she wear gloves. I'm in a room with another patient and she went up to him first and placed him a heart monitor without using gloves. Then, she dropped several items on the floor, picked them up grabbed the top of the trash can with her bear hands and dumped them in. Then, she came and placed a glove on my IV for I told her that I was going to take a shower. She gave me attitude when I told her that. Then, she asks me if I have pain. I SAY YES THEN SAID I will need to contact your doctor for approval. That was 25 minutes ago. They haven't even administered the antibiotics on me. That is the whole reason why I got admitted. I will call House Supervisor and Infection Control Administrator to report this. I have to say that Judy the nurse did an excellent recovery with her customer service skills. I want to actually thank her for taking care of me last night and for making me feel safe. Blessings for Ms. Judy, RN

DO NOT COME TO THIS HOSPITAL ER. I came in with a high fever. So high my bones were hurting and my muscles were cramping up. I have asthma and bronchitis making it difficult to breath, the nurses treated me as if I was crazy. Gave me a sedative to make me stop complaining about pain, Told me I was having an anxiety attack and I was simply dehydrated mind you without taking my temperature at check in.. ! When they were about to discharge me a nurse realized my chart wasn t complete so she took my temperature among other things that are supposed to be done when you first arrived and I had a temperature of 106!!!!! I kept complaining of stomach pain and they kept saying it was just my anxiety.. they gave me antibiotics for the fever and let me go. Later I went into the hospital on base and my kidneys had a really bad infection I had to be hospitalized... north vista hospital could of killed me leaving me with a fever so high... AND they sedated me when I complained about my pain.. they take advantage that so many people without any money come here so they can t sue them! Months later my mom got bit by a dog and my sister took her here, I arrived almost an hour later and she was still waiting to get stitched up because she didn t have insurance of money! They left her with her skin just hanging you could see her nerves and fat coming out from the wounded area.... DO NOT COME HERE...

I just recently had surgery here and everything from the pre-op to discharge was so smooth and easy. Damir, the X-Ray tech, the entire out patient nurse team, and all of my nurses Gloria, Zef, Tiffany and all of the other nurses were so friendly and helpful. Obviously being back in the hospital is not something I hope to have happen again but if it does North Vista
