Servicing North Texas and providing protection against insecurity NTFB provides an integral role in the community. I have had the opportunity to volunteer multiple times at their DC as well as a community pantry in the South Dallas area near Fair Park. Volunteers are sorely needed to provide service and collect food for our community. Although they moved to a new DC near 190 & Coit they still serve an integral role for all of N. Texas.

North Texas families suffering with job losses can experience healthy and refreshing fruits and vegetables during this pandemic as Mobile food distribution. Days of hunger will be covered by events at FAIR PARK and other locations. If you travel by DART walkup services are offered. Events are 8 -11 and line up starts at 7 am. Minimal paperwork and just pop the trunk for delivery. Stay home ...stay safe...stay healthy with NTFB benefits.

The Plano location is pristine, and a fantastic place to volunteer, especially if bringing children. The staff is polite, but they are careful to enforce the rules, which are important for safety. The facility is kept impeccably clean, and has plenty of room to accommodate multiple groups of volunteers. I would highly recommend this as a place to volunteer or donate.

We have come to the NTFB many times to volunteer. I love the space, it s really clean and the staff is great! Recently we visited the food bank to volunteer and they had us lifting 40 or 50 pound boxes from over our heads and onto pallets. This was really hard work and everyone in our party was covered in bruises the next day. The NTFB staff told us that this was an experimental new volunteer rotation, so I would recommend that they would stop putting volunteers on this one if they want to be safer. If they stop making volunteers do that they will once again be five star.

Volunteering at the North Texas Food Bank was a very rewarding experience. Today we boxed 9.5 palletts, 342 boxes, 12,600 pounds of food which is 10,500 meals for people in the North Texas community. #NorthTexasFoodBank #CommunityService #FoodBank #GivingBackToTheCommunity
