I went to the emergency department by ambulance to seek help with a blood pressure of 184/122. It s only by luck if you get a good nurse and physician in that ER. Nothing is consistent there. They treated me as if I was a nuisance, and lied to me the entire time about my tests and treatment. I am a nurse as well I knew what they should ve been doing but didn t. I should ve spent the night for observation since I m a high-risk patient with underlying health conditions, but they shove me out of the door quickly and couldn t answer any of my questions. next time it s the U of M ED for sure! I ve had it with this place!
I can't say enough about this hospital. Courtesy parking if needed, otherwise always available spaces. Easy to get to as well. Friendly staff, always willing to help. Front desk is very well staffed with never a wait. Bright, child-friendly decor & atmosphere, plus parents who look you in the eye & smile. Kid interesting & occupying toys & activities, including those little cars that the little patient can take to the exam room door.
I went to the emergency department for an injury, and everyone nurses, medical assistants, the front desk staff, the security staff, were helpful and kind. I can t imagine how stressful their jobs must be right now, but they treated me with compassion and patience and the entire process was organized, smooth, and efficient.
What else to say it's a hospital in the city. The nurses and people who work here are extremely nice. However they are treated terribly. Many of the union bosses who operate around North Memorial are corrupted to the core. Many of the nicest, and hardest working people here have not been given proper raises for years, and seemingly manage to fail consistently on upgrading & improving wait times. North Memorial has refused to invest in better infrastructure which would increase the quality of patient care. You are hit with billing and paperwork extremely, and I mean "extremely" hard before they even care too see what is going on with you. Many Nurses just a few years ago were threatened and intimated with being fired for requesting better patient care and working conditions. Overall like most other American hospitals, this place will send you spiraling into medical bankruptcy if you are not properly covered with some type of medical insurance.
Profits over human life though, right?
Beautiful hospital with cruel management and owners. Too many horror stories from North Memorial clinics, the workers should become organized, because the ownership & union bosses need to go ASAP.
I can t speak for any these bad reviews but I can speak for the ICU 6th floor staff today who have all been amazing during the (luckily short) time my grandma was on their floor. R.N. Mandy has been absolutely wonderful, Nima and Dierre were so friendly as well! It s such a relief to have such a personable medical team to help make her feel more at ease during a stressful and scary time for her. You guys are awesome! Thank you for all you do. Sugar and family appreciate you!
I was air lifted from mora to North Memorial Hospital and as with meeting that many personalities you have hits and misses. My Dr. Ramler was my guy and I will say his bedside manner is terrible. That being said his staff were all more then accomidating and made my stay here a pleasent one. Dr. Ramler made changes to my medications that were non related to my injury. He stated he didnt think I should need that much of this. We wont be giving you this while your under our care. Things that he should not have done seeing as how I was here for a specific injury. He didnt need to go make changes that my primary had been working on for years.
My husband was in your hospital recently, spending several days in the Cardia ICU. We can t say enough about the Doctors, nurses and staff that took care of them. They were knowledgeable, professional, kind and compassionate. All went out of their way to carefully explain everything and ensure we were well informed. Thank you for taking great care of him.
This place is the most unprofessional hospital I have ever dealt with. Not only were there a customer service representatives rude and unhelpful but when I requested speak to a manager they would not give me the managers contact information or her last name. At a hospital where likely close to 1000 people work I have no way to get in contact with his manager and just have to hope they call me back.
You were untrustworthy and I will never allow a family member to step foot through your doors.
Wow this place is gone downhill fast
The receptionist here are consistently helpful and friendly. Ethan and Ashley Fruechte are the best providers I've ever had and have helped change my life for the better. Highly recommend!
