My family and I have used NFRMC services several times over the years, from the births of my granddaughters, or by me personally. We have always appreciated the efforts of each of the employees providing the different services needed. However, during this visit, and to my surprise, I unfortunately have to bring up something that needs to be addressed by the management. I had a complete total knee replacement. As you can imagine, it was a very painful surgery. That first night, plus the other 2 nights I stayed at your hospital, I had the blessing of being cared for by Julian and three other male nurses, who with great respect and delicate methods attended to my needs. For that, I want to say to them-Thank you to all so much!
Unfortunately, the next morning of my current visit, I was surprised to hear how loud voices are used by nurses and other service providers in communication with each other, except the food servers. Some of the nurses loud voices were heard even with my room s door closed, not remembering they were in a hospital surrounded by sick people.
It is with great respect that I would like to ask the management to oversee that many of the dayshift personnel be retrained, and reminded, to use respect and compassion for the sick, and to practice inside voices at their place of work.
Another group that needs to be retrained is Physical Therapists. They came to the room sometimes 4+ hrs after the pain medication was already administered, so the pain was incredible during their therapy session. Home Health PTs call their patients one hour before arriving to remind us to take the pain meds.
I want to thank Dr. Wilson, a true gentleman with excellent bedside manners and caring alertness for the patients. A true asset to the company.
Thank you kindly.
