I’ve been seeing the team at Nona Dentists and Orthodontics in Orlando for several years now, and I’m happy to report that the issues with the X-ray machine’s plastic casing have been resolved as of May 2023. I’m updating my earlier review, which was written in the heat of the moment, to better reflect the balance of positives that keep me coming back. My hygienist, Yelena, is hands down the most skilled, gentle, and thorough professional I’ve encountered. Dr. Nam is also highly capable, though you won’t always see the dentist directly, and those visits are often quite brief. I’m deducting one star because they are strict about requiring routine X-rays before providing care. For instance, despite my history of facial skin cancer and my comfort level with radiation, they denied treatment when I refused, labeling it as "neglect." It felt a bit contradictory to be told I was neglecting my health while they simultaneously refused to see me, especially after claiming no other practice would either. Still, they do a great job helping me maintain my oral health. I’ve also found their recommendation to use a Waterpik to be incredibly helpful.
