Every time I have Hawaiian food or Japanese teriya...

Every time I have Hawaiian food or Japanese teriyaki I miss Nohos. Nohos employees are the best. Nohos food is the best. By far. Don't take it for granted. Tip them. Be glad you get to eat there. Lord have mercy I love their food. This location is beautiful. The one in Medford has its own charm. They work hard to get good meat and get good cooks. It's way beyond any other Hawaiian food you can find. I personally always order Korean style, chicken or ribs, or the poke. Honestly I've been to Hawaii many times and I've never had food I liked as much. They don't have spam at Nohos but I could care less. Not a ton of options for vegetarian but you can get Roy's Tofu or the huge amazing yakisoba. The drinks are great also.

I love this place! The food is amazing. The staff is amazing. I go there at least once a month and when I lived closer in that neighborhood I was there once sometimes twice a week. If you love Hawaiian food or are missing Maui go there for a classic mai thai while ordering some kalua pig. You won't be disappointed

I remember my first trip to the original on Clinto...

I remember my first trip to the original on Clinton st. Ono chicken was incredible and the mac salad creamy and peppery. Lot has changed since then. Start with the appetizer of chicken katsu. We found the best chicken katsu in Hilo. If in Hilo, go to Vernas. Nohos chicken katsu does not compare. Chicken was fairly tender but not evenly coated or cut evenly. Parts of the coating gone leaving the chicken bare. Very greasy too. I did the mixed pork plate. I love kalua pork. Get it every time we go the islands. Its good here but not a repeat. Missing something. The smokiness I think. Teriyaki pork was tender and flavorful. Wufe had the mixed plate. Teriyaki beef huge disappointment. Tough, no flavor and lots of fat. Short ribs were tender and tasty. The mac salad I remember having all those years ago......gone. more like normal mac salad then Hawaiian mac. If you are looking for fair to good Hawaiian, nohos will work. Massive plates. If your looking for better...there is a better place here in Portland. Much better kalua pork.

This is my favorite place all time. If you want so...

This is my favorite place all time. If you want some real feel Hawaiian time food this is the place to go.
I first tried noho's about a month before I was going on vacation to Hawaii. I went there with expectations of food tasting as good if not better, little did I know nothing compared to noho's. The day after we got home from vacation noho's was the first destination we were shortly reminded how Damn good the food really is.

Overall my favorite restaurant in Portland. My go ...

Overall my favorite restaurant in Portland. My go to order is Kimo's Sweet Ribs Blalah size (you get extra rice, ribs, and mac salad). Enough food for a leftover meal the following day.

The short ribs are soft & have great flavor. I didn't like macaroni salad much till I tried theirs - it pairs surprisingly well with the ribs.

Absolutely delicious food!
