I truly enjoyed this restaurant and was there twice during my visit last year. Extremely easy to find and the restaurant is located right next to the Boston Common. There is an excellent wine list with many selections of good international wines. Foods and services are top notch. Highly recommended.

Overall we had a good experience here. The waiter who served our wine was really nice and very welcoming. The food was fine, it didn t blow us away, especially not for the money we paid ($525 + tip). We are probably spoiled by the quality we get in London - not sure it compares to Boston. Our main comment is the speed at which we were served and the apparent haste to get us out of the restaurant. We had to ask for a break between courses as they kept coming and then after dessert we had the check dumped on the table - No offer of coffee or a other drink. we weren t asked if we wanted a cheese course either! Then we waited for our taxi and left in silence, had to ask someone to get out coats. Another small criticism (but if you re charging a fortune for a fine dining experience, then it s the attention to detail that counts) - the tablecloths were creased and not ironed. Sounds petty but it is lazy.

All in all a pleasant night but not worth the expense in terms of a culinary experience compared to what you can get in other restaurants at this level.

Here are the pros: very accommodating with food allergies and gave us a free dessert for my birthday. The gnocchi starter and cocktails are decent. Service was fine.
Cons: bread is so-so, butter tastes like nothing (should taste amazing at a great restaurant), ricotta salad was just a lame salad, halibut was cooked well and was fresh but clearly dish sat under heat lamp for quite some time - came with a flavorless and gummy brown sauce that had started to harden, the peach beignet was good but tasted kind of like a McDonald's apple pie but with peach, sorbet was boring (cantaloupe, banana, and grapefruit), and the lemon mousse was pretty flavorless. Overall, it's a big expense for a meal that looks beautiful but lacks much depth of flavor. It seems like the chef tries to add aromatic elements but they do not pop as they should do. Deux Ave was wayyyy more worth the time and money.

Very neat and convenient spot. They provide big meals and for affordable prices. We loved the menu a lot and the staff were very affable and informative. Will definitely recommend this restaurant.

I celebrated my nomination earlier this evening in this fine place. happy to tell that we passed a great evening and the venue was surely the reason for this strong meeting. The waiters helped in a gorgeous style, the cooking was appetizing and my friends were very cheerful. We shall definitely visit again for more events. thanks very much.

The food was not bad, but the service was terrible, which made for a poor overall experience. We didn't have a waiter for a poor while, the hostess took our orders for drinks, we waited forever for a menu and when the waiter arrived finally he seemed not interested at all; the waiters servicing the table by us pretended they don't see us while we were waiting for a menu. I've never had such poor experience in a restaurant at this price point.

My wife and I celebrated a 30th birthday here and we felt No. 9 Park missed the mark on a few things. When we arrived the valet made us feel a little uncomfortable about payment which we didn't make a big deal out of but it didn't start the night off on the right foot for sure.

We both did the tasting menu without wine or caviar. For what you are paying I expected this to blow us both away on every course yet some of the courses were lacking in a couple areas. None of the courses were really spectacular in depth or presentation to be honest. It just wasn't that amazing dining experience I would have expected and I've personally experienced at other local restaurants like Bondir, Journeyman, Deuxave, Menton, and Cragie on Main.

When we paid the bill we realized we had been charged mistakenly for two dishes. I understand mistakes happen and it was not really a big deal to have it corrected but it just speaks to the level of attention and care going on in the background at No. 9 Park. If I was spending half the cost I wouldn't think twice about something like that but for the price I feel those kind of errors should not be occurring.

My wife and I left got in the car and both looked at each other and agreed the meal was just okay. Only on the drive home did I realize our server didn't even bother to offer us coffee, tea, or an after dinner drink which I can only blame myself for forgetting to ask for I guess. All in all I don't regret going because I wanted to experience it but I would absolutely not return, not because it wasn't good, but because it wasn't exceptional. If you're like me and only get to eat at a place like this very rarely I would say look elsewhere.

Food is excellent, small portions, expensive. Popular among lawmakers and snobs. Very small space packed with tables, no decor, no style, no ambiance, reminds of a Starbucks turned into a fancy restaurant

Excellent, albeit expensive. We enjoyed the tasting menu. They allowed quite a bit of substitution. We added a course, swapped a course, and dropped a course (dessert). All was excellent. I found the wine pricing reasonable. Not inexpensive, but not inflated as it might have been. Certainly recommended.

I got the dine out Boston. The appetizer was nice and different, though not something I would get again. The chicken was perfect, the skin was very well seasoned and crisp. The dessert was reasonable. However, I did have more expectations out of the dessert. The staff was friendly though a little slow. The drinks arrived after the main course arrived even though we ordered them first. I liked it for trying it once, but probably won't be going back anytime soon.

Tl;dr: If you read this review and still go, I tried to warn you and it s your own fault.

I just graduated from college. My dining hall began with nicer ingredients than this restaurant. My entire party was unable to eat multiple of the dishes, and one had to be sent back as the shrimp had fouled.

I would be less offended had we spent $45 or so each, yet the price tag was closer to $200.

It s really a shame that this used to be one of the city s premier restaurants.

Considering the reviews I was expecting better. Everything was nice and no real complaints, it was just a little average in comparison the other restaurants in Boston such as L'Espellier. Worth a try but don't expect to be blown away.

One uncanny talent is my ability to select an establishment's signature dish simply by reading its' menu. This past Monday was no exception when I asked for the pruned-stuffed gnocchi. Jared, the bartender, enthusiastically shared with me it is Barbara Lynch's signature entree and it's held its spot on the menu for 20 years!

Although it was quiet at the bar- I did not feel alone. Jared had me settled-in and comfortable within minutes as did the host, who upon my arrival greeted me with a sincere smile and offered to take my coat.

It was a very memorable evening for someone dining alone. I began with the Blue Point oysters from Duxbury- fresh and plump served with a delightful mignonette and lemon wedge. My gnocchi entree was so visually appealing (glistening) as well as aromatic (ahhh) I somehow dove in before taking a photo. Oops! Too late now I thought! When I stood to depart the host (Argen?) must have noticed my interest in the space. He graciously embellished my experience with a mini-tour of the back and front rooms, noting the owner's tables by the window (which are now my favorites too!)

No. 9 Park not only creates and plates enchanted cuisine but it is also a hospitality sanctuary, where its' positive, friendly and talented staff embue a genuine feeling of welcomeness.

Whether you are a local or visiting our city, I encourage you to dine at this highly regarded establishment. In addition to everything mentioned above, the view of the Boston Common from the front of the house is exceptional... especially with the festive Christmas lights. Dreamy.

The service here is really annoying. If you go to the bathroom the staff will do a fancy restaurant thing and take you napkin and fold it for you. When I eat I make I keep track of which parts of my napkin are dirty and make sure those parts don't touch my clothes. They made this impossible. I couldn't even use napkin because I didn't know which part had food stuff on them and I couldn't let that part touch my clothes. A piece of food fell from my napkin on to my seat when they were folding it one time and then I couldn't even sit on that part for the rest of my meal. I can't imagine how many pieces of clothing this place must have ruined by messing with customers napkins. They have no consideration for your personal belongs when you are there.

I no longer live in Boston anymore, but No. 9 is still the restaurant that I talk about. I even made a trip back to Boston with my boyfriend just to take him to this place since I love it so much. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is amazing, everything No. 9 is amazing. If you love good food and are willing to pay for it, No. 9 is an absolute must.

Mistral is one of those restaurants that never disappoints. We go to Mistral when we want to have a nice fancy meal and the quality and service are always consistent. The restaurant floor is lively and can be loud, but we always have a nice time.

The food would have been bad if it cost $40 a person, but it's also very expensive. This was our second time there the first time was okay. This time our appetizer tasted and looked like a microwaved pasta dish. It's ricotta filling was bland and not properly proportioned. The pork was overcooked, we couldn't even cut it and accompanied by slopped on leftover Thanksgiving sides. The octopus and sausage but also non properly cooked proteins with odd textures. We've been to Barbara Lynches places, this one certainly shouldn't be called the "flagship".

Spectacular tasting menu that was tailored to our dietary needs, and they were gracious and happy to do it. Wine pairing was perfect, featuring nontraditional options that expanded our palate. Our server was top notch, incredibly knowledgeable and attentive. Don't miss this place.

I don't know where to begin. If you love good food, and are willing to pay for it, this is the right place to be. Be prepared to buy extras, there were some terrific ads that it would have been a shame to miss. Service was outstanding, food, perfect. 100% recommend.

Fine Dining done right.

Fine Dining done right.

A lot of places like this are all style and no substance, No.9 Park is the genuine article. Subtle yet attentive service, knowledgeable waiting staff and food that was simply out of this world.

Not to blow my own trumpet, but I'm a damn fine cook, yet even their cheapest entree had me scratching my head at just how they managed to turn a simple Chicken Breast into something absolutely magical.

I wish I could say I'd be returning soon, but I had to return home after my vacation! I'd make monthly visits if I was a Boston native, an absolute treat on every level.

Not worth the money.

Not worth the money.
Gnocchi was good-almost too rich. Our entrees were mediocre at best; monkfish entree overcooked, chicken greasy and seem to include lots of thigh meat. I agree that the deserts are to die for. No bottles of white wine under $75. The service was good however our waiter, while lovely, had dirty fingernails. Ewwwwww.
We won't be back and felt it was a huge waste of money.

Our dining experience was excellent! As a vegetarian who doesn t like vegetables I REALLY appreciated the kitchen staff serving me lentil beans. It was a filling and great protein source. I highly recommend keeping this as an option for vegetarian and vegan diners.

Our waiter was excellent and even the food runner went above and beyond explaining the dishes.

Divine food and service. I've tasted the best seared foie gras I've ever had here, and it takes first place in my mind by far - even over places like Eleven Madison Park, Deuxave, or L'Espalier.

The chef s tasting menu was top notch - all four of us enjoyed every course and had a different favourite. The gnocchi is a must add-on!! The service was wonderful - they made the birthday girl feel so special right from the time we walked in the door for our reservation, and they were beyond accommodating to intolerances/allergies. Would highly recommend!

Food and service were both very solid. I must say that I was a little bit surprised at the lack of unique ambiance as I was expecting to see something I would remember. That's the only reason for a 4/5 vs a 5. I highly recommend an upgrade to the interiors.

Have had great meals here over the years, but, the food and service were not the usual. Maybe an off night but when your spending that much money.........We did the tasting menu-our wine pours were late. We each sent something back that was not the right with our orders. The place seemed really hectic, hard to enjoy the surroundings and the food.

One of the best restaurants in Boston. Made reservations from San Francisco for a special occasion and all our expectations we're exceeded wonderfully. Terrific waitstaff, service and the food was really outstanding.

Tables in the front of the restaurant have window views, but if you want less noise and commotion, ask for a table in the back room. Personally, I liked the front room but it depends on your needs. You can't go wrong at No. 9 Park.

We really enjoyed our dinner here. My regret is that we didn't have the tasting menu - next time for sure. Everything was very good, but the standout was the cheese trolley. We were taken through it by the assistant manager and that was a great show by itself - and the cheeses backed her up superbly. I would say this is a must for foodies in Boston

I used to think that No. 9 Park was a fancy, special occasion, super high end restaurant. I wasn't entirely wrong, but I've since had many chances to stop by after work, or on a Sunday, or just any random day, and sit at the bar and banter with the bartenders, and enjoy a few expertly made cocktails.

No. 9 Park is some of the best food in the city. But it is not pompous. It is friendly and fun when that's what you're looking for, or elegant and special, on those occasions when you want to celebrate more serenely. The service is top-notch, and the food (again) is beyond compare. I enjoyed a 4 hour lunch this past December, and I'm still reminiscing about it. It has become my local neighborhood bar, even though there are several watering holes that are much closer to my apartment.

If you sit at the bar, keep an eye out for Tyler, who has an outstanding ability to shake the heck out of a cocktail shaker.

I eat in this lovely spot a lot! This is my favorite place to to have a good dinner. I go to this spot frequently. The cooking is just great, the staff members are polite and the price is decent. I like eating in this restaurant over a rich lunch.

Great social distancing

Great social distancing
Service is ok
Food was good and sometimes delicious
The pours for the wine pairing were minuscule
They clarified it to be high end wines and that would justify a small pour. They did also give us an extra splash
If I had known I would just have ordered by the wine menu

Superb ambience and super personal service. The menu was crisp and enchanting. Will absolutely recommend this spot to friends and family. Convenient prices and generous portions. Great work.

Exceptional is the word that comes to mind. From the moment we walked in we were made to feel as though we were special. To say the food was outstanding is an understatement. The rabbit ravioli and the stuffed gnocchi are enough to have us coming back. The thing that truly made the night special was the incredible service that the entire staff provided. Truly worth the 5 hour drive from upstate NY! 10 out of 10 would make the trip just to eat here again!

Thank you for an amazing dinner last night, and I'm very pleased I found you guys on the Seated platform! The service and food were both top notch and the ambiance was warm and cozy on a cold December night. It served us well that we earned over $30 in Amazon credit to balance out a little the check. We look forward to dining here again!

I noted a shellfish allergy in the reservation and reiterated it to the waiter. I made it clear I did not want shellfish on the table, even though only my wife has an allergy. When the first course was served, my plate had shellfish. The waiter caught the mistake unprompted, which is the only thing that kept us from walking out. It appeared the shellfish was removed from my plate and served again instead of discarding the plate and remaking. Risking ending our evening with skin irritation or an EpiPen and a hospital is unacceptable. The food was good, but I will not be returning.

THE FOOD WAS MATCHED ONLY BY OUR WAITER. THIS IS THE CHARLIE TROTTER'S OF BOSTON. A TRUE EATING EXPERIENCE - THE SUPER BOWL OF DINNING OUT. BUT LIKE THE SUPER BOWL, IT CAN PROBABLY ONLY HAPPEN ONCE A YEAR DUE TO THE PRICE. MAKE THIS A DESTINATION AT LEAST ONCE!

Went to several restaurants in Boston and was really looking forward to our meal here. First and second courses were quite good, oysters and caviar, but the entrees were ABYSMAL, which was shocking based upon all of the good reviews we've read! The table next to us had the same experience, and could not find the chicken on their chicken entree. Hopefully this was a one-off bad evening, but I would not be quick to return.

My friend and I spent a few hours at the bar sampling two or three of their specialty drinks. The gentlemen at the bar were clearly passionate about their craft. There are no ordinary bar tenders, they *love* what they do, and do it well. It's art and science, you've left the mainstream, enjoy it ! These guys are rock stars and it shows, let them make you a drink with a few hints for direction and you'll be amazed. Ask them about the "15 minute drink" with egg whites...

The food was good/well cooked, the waitstaff was excellent, the ambience is classy, but the food lacked imagination. It fit with the staid older crowd but isn't quite worth going back to when compared to other stellar restaurants in Boston.
